An Iranian Qeshm Fars Air flight from Tehran, heading for Lebanon or Syria, made a U-turn over Iraqi airspace on October 5, data from flight tracking websites show.
Hebrew media alleged that the flight was carrying weapons to Hezbollah, and therefore, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) warned it to turn around.

Earlier this week, the IDF announced that it will work to prevent the supply of any weapons from Iran to Hezbollah through the Lebanese-Syrian border
As part of the blockade, the IDF struck all of the “military” crossings on the Lebanese-Syrian border, including an alleged 3.5 kilometer-long underground tunnel, and also hit the civilian Masnaa border crossing claiming that Hezbollah began to use it.
In addition the IDF warned it would foil any attempts by Iran to transfer weapons to Hezbollah via the civilian Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport.
Tensions between Israel and Iran rose sharply earlier this week after Tehran launched a large-scale missile attack against Israeli security and military targets. The attack was a response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Hamas Movement, in Tehran last July, and the recent assassinations of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and Iranian General Abbas Nilforoushan in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after the attack, which took place on October 1, that Tehran had made “a big mistake” and “will pay for it.”
