Unidentified armed men raided Police Station No. 16 located in the border city of Zahedan in eastern Iran early on July 8.
The attack was defused by a number of Iranian special forces after several hours of fighting, which ended up in the death of all four terrorist attackers.
According to official sources in Iran, the clashes erupted at around 7 am and continued until 9:30 am.
During the early hours of the armed clashes, two members of the law enforcement forces of Iran – Sergeant Alireza Keykha and a soldier named Mobin Rashidi – were martyred and two attackers were also killed.
The initial moments of the conflict and the shooting of armed terrorists towards the Police Station No. 16 in Zahedan city:
Moreover, two other attackers were besieged in a police station tower and they were killed in a conflict with police forces as well as auxiliary forces dispatched to the point. As a result of the last two assailants, the terrorist attack on Zahedan’s Police Station No. 16 came to an end.
Video published by local media about the Iranian special forces confrontation with four terrorists, which eventually ended with the death of all the terrorists:
In the above video, moments of the conflict between the special forces and the terrorists can be seen in the tower and the inner area of the police station, where all the terrorists eventually were killed. The body of one of the attackers has also disintegrated, which was probably due to the explosion of a grenade in the tower. Therefore, the claim of some local sources regarding the execution of suicide operations by terrorists is wrong. Also, some official sources stated that the number of attackers was three, which is not consistent with the video evidence, and the number of terrorists is four.
Hours after the attack, a terrorist group dubbed as Jaish ul-Adl claimed responsibility for the raid on Zahedan’s Police Station No. 16 in a statement. According to the terrorist group’s statement, this attack was carried out by members of the group’s so-called battalion of devotees of justice.
Jaish ul-Adl is a terrorist group in Sistan and Baluchestan province of Iran and Balochistan province of Pakistan which founded after Jundallah terrorist group was destroyed by Iran’s IRGC in 2011. This group is active in armed conflict, IED, assassination, abduction, etc.
i don’t understand what the point of this is. what have these monsters changed other than that their lives are gone now? it never amazes me how many imbecilic morons there are in this world.
they were probably basement dwellers.
sergeant alireza keykha and soldier mobin rashidi died doing their duty. i present my respects to their families, friends and colleagues. they died honourably.
my opinion on the attackers is much more reserved.
