On November 28, the Russian Defense Ministry released footage showing the work of military medical staff of a separate medical airmobile detachment of the Tula Guards Airborne Troops Formation in Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) direction.

It provides a rare insight look at the system of the evacuation and medical assistance, which is organized by the Russian Defense Ministry in the area of the special military operation.

The released footage demonstrated the evacuation of the injured personnel to military medical institutions deployed in the rear area of the special military operation. There, military medics provide injured personnel with the necessary medical care.

Wounded personnel are transported by ambulance cars.

“Doctors and medical personnel of the Airborne Troops work in the immediate vicinity of the line of contact. They carry out complex surgical operations, remove fragments and damaging elements of shells.

Military doctors have all the necessary equipment at their disposal, including mobile X-ray machines that allow them to conduct examinations before surgery, and even a computed tomography machine. Physicians are provided with all the necessary drugs and medicines to anaesthetise and stabilise the patients,” the statement of the Russian Defense Ministry reads.

The defense ministry added that when the patient’s condition improves, he is sent to the next stage of hospitalization.
