The Russian Defense Ministry is setting up 16 modular medical centers across the country from the western exclave of Kaliningrad to the Pacific port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The construction cost is 8.8 billion rubles ($140.5 million).
The first 8 centers (locations – Odintsovo, Podolsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Sosnovy Bor and Ussuriysk) will be finished by April 30. All the 16 centers are set be ready by May 15.
The construction work, carried out around the clock, involves more than 3,500 people and 800 pieces of equipment. Construction periods are from 40 to 56 days, and the area of the centers being built is almost 115,000 m2.
