On March 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that two Tu-160 strategic bombers had conducted a planned 15-hour flight over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. At certain stages of the route, Russian bombers were escorted by F-16 fighters of the Norwegian Air Force and Eurofighter Typhoons of the British Air Force.
