An interesting video was shared online from the Ukrainian frontlines. Its authenticity is yet to be confirmed. If so, it most likely shows Ukrainian servicemen killing foreign mercenaries, who were members of a barrier squad.
There is a group of Ukrainian servicemen seen running from a forest area, where they were likely ordered to hold the military positions. They were stopped by foreign mercenaries who attempted to force them to come back. Ukrainians did not agree. The first serviceman attempted to fight the foreigner with bare hands. The second opened fire and killed them.
It may be supposed that these were some Russian saboteurs disguised in Ukrainian uniform. However, the video shows the approaching man shooting in the ground before opening fire. The Russians would open fire immediately from a larger distance. The Ukrainian shoot the enemies dead only after he saw his comrad fighting and after the second foreigner opened fire.
There is still a slight probability that the video was staged. At the beginning of the video, the foreigners are hearing on the radio: ‘Run away, we are covered with fire, let’s run!’ and immediately after that they saw Ukrainian servicemen approaching them.
However, there are various details confirming the authenticity of the footage. For example, the shadow of the foreigner, who cannot speak Ukrainian, is seen waving hands and gesticulating frantically in an attempt to explain his words and force the servicemen come back to the positions. Such a behaviour is natural. In their turn, Ukrainian servicemen, still in the heat of battle, likely did not understand what was said in English. The second Ukrainian was about 30 meters away and approached the foreigners only when one of them was beating his comrad and the second already opened fire. His response is also clear.
There is no secret that foreign mercenaries, together with highly motivated members of various nationalist battalions created by the Kiev regime, are serving in the barrier squads aimed to prevent Ukrainian servicemen from leaving their positions. This has been confirmed by various Ukrainian media sources as well as by testimonies of Ukrainian prisoners of war. The servicemen seen on the video were likely also aware of this.
If the Russians would stage such a video, they would not show ‘polite’ mercenaries, asking if the Ukrainians are afraid or wounded. They would show the barrier squad of cold blooded foreigners shooting Ukrainians in the fields. However, there is no need to stage such provocations, the foreigners and Ukrainians are filming their operations themselves.

why would they try to communicate in english with people they should already know do not understand english? are they talking with other native english speakers? the one person yelled stop in english to the guy that was approaching him. it would not be hard for someone to learn a word like “stop” in ukrainian or any other language.

it might not be fake, i think that situations like this are probably happening. however i’m wondering why these soldiers would have allowed the video of their crime to be released. also, it seems strange that the soldier would turn his back on the armed foreign mercenary immediately after a single shot, even though the other one was not armed.
he then kicks the guy on the ground as gently as possible to turn him over, and the cameraman manages to capture everything even though he dropped like a sack of potatoes. yes it might be real, but videos like this that look too perfect are the ones that often end up being fake.

the gunshot into the guy on the ground looks very real. the impact of being shot too. they speak english because they aren’t there to communicate. also most ukrainians like russians have a basic understanding of english. this location based on the surrounding also looks like it potentially too place 3km north west of verbove.
perhaps near 47.459656, 35.929874 the levy behind the cameraman, and the tree line to the south (base on sun’s angle) put this likely the location
