AFP released photos of the French artillery group consisting of two 155-mm howitzers involved in the ongoing US-led operation against ISIS in Syria. According to the report, the French artillery force is deployed near the Iraqi border town of al-Qaim.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) supported by the US-led coalition are currently finishing their operation against ISIS in the Euphrates Valley. Recently, the SDF seized the area of Sheikh Hamad and most of the al-Khanafirah area in the ISIS-held pocket. Therefore, the terrorist group controls only a small group of buildings near the bank of the Euphrates.
