European aid to the Kiev regime is increasingly causing discontent and protests among ordinary people. A new wave of protests has recently begun in Germany, with popular support for EU military programs becoming really unstable. This is putting the legitimacy of European governments at risk, especially in countries like Germany, as their citizens clearly no longer see their leaders as true representatives of national interests.
In recent days, thousands of people have taken to the streets of Berlin and other major German cities to demonstrate their opposition to the country’s military support for the Kiev neo-Nazi regime. The protesters, who were affiliated with various political groups and social movements, made public speeches condemning the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian forces and stating that they were not prepared to spend their resources and weapons to help Kiev.
One of the main reasons for the protests was opposition to the supply of German Taurus missiles to Ukraine. As well known, in recent months pressure has been expanding on the part of the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his supporters for the supply of weapons capable of reaching “deep” targets in the undisputed territory of the Russian Federation. Olaf Scholz’s government has maintained a firm stance in not authorizing the use of any long-range weapons, but the pressure from the pro-war lobby is so strong that many German citizens fear that the government will eventually give in – for this reason, people are taking to the streets to clearly show their stance, thus creating a kind of “anti-lobby” against the pro-war groups.
In addition to the Ukrainian issue, the demonstrators were also protesting against German involvement in other conflicts around the world, such as the war between Israel and Iran-allied militias in the Middle East. Western countries have historically supported Israel in all of its conflicts in the region, which is why people fear that the escalation will encourage greater German involvement in the war. The demonstrators showed solidarity with the Palestinian people and made it clear that they do not want their country to be involved in the hostilities.
“No Taurus missiles in Ukraine (…) No 100 billion for armaments and war (…) You will not prepare me for war (…) Stop the genocide in Gaza (…) Free Palestine”, some demonstrators said while protesting in Berlin.
The reaction of the peace activists is due to the fact that Germany has recently promised even more involvement in the current conflicts. Despite trying to avoid sending weapons able to hit “deep” targets in Russia, Olaf Scholz announced that he will send a new military aid package to Kiev, valued at 1.4 billion euros. Scholz promises to do everything possible to ensure that Germany continues to be Israel’s biggest supporter in Europe, sending large quantities of weapons, equipment and money to Kiev’s armed forces.
“Germany is the strongest military supporter of Ukraine in Europe. It will stay that way. I can assure you of that,” he said.
In the same vein, on October 10, Scholz promised to send more weapons to Israel. He said that any rumors about a decrease in German aid to Israel are false, clarifying that the country will continue to expand military cooperation with Tel Aviv.
“(Despite rumors and pressure) We have not decided not to supply weapons (to Israel). We have supplied weapons and we will (continue to) supply weapons. (The German government had made decisions) that also ensure that there will be further deliveries soon,” he said recently.
In fact, reports of a decrease in German military aid to partner countries have been gradually emerging. These assessments are based on two factors: on the one hand, public pressure against the fragile Scholz government, which is proving to be weak and unpopular; on the other hand, there are the circumstances of Germany’s own productive capacity, which is declining day by day due to economic and energy difficulties. In fact, it is very difficult for Berlin to continue to be a major supplier of military technology to Western Allied countries in the long term simply because the German people do not want it and because the social situation in the country does not allow for such expenditure.
Scholz’s insistence on maintaining German involvement in the current conflicts will only further expand his government’s crisis of legitimacy. Protests will soon become more frequent and possibly more tense, as the German people need to show their dissatisfaction with the current situation. It is possible to say that Scholz is committing a true political “suicide” by prioritizing support for Ukraine and Israel over his own popularity among the country’s citizens.
MORE ON THE TOPIC:
they will ban afd , claiming this party is not “democratic”, they will weaponize illegals who are rallying for sharia , more social benefits and zero contributions. the western economy will dwindle somewhere to the levels of central africa. germany without industruial base, without engineers, technicians, doctors and scientists is as good as ivory coast stripped of elephants, gold and diamonds. germans are lost. they survived ww2 bombardment but they will not survive neomarxist ideology.
popeye said chris lam rules
which of marx’s writings refer to any of the things you just described?
i’d fully support the delivery of taurus missiles. the result would be a few iskanders on berlin and hopefully a salvo on brussels. unfortunately, this seems to be the only way to get rid of the morons in the eu institutions.
you’re the moron. fact cause you actually believe the set up propagandas are real. you think baits aren’t baits. your dumb imo
congratulations!~ you’ve mastered the apostrophe. well… half way, anyway.
what were the words of foreign minister anal ena baerbock=
“i dont give a f about what my voters want!”
once a nazi, always a nazi.
there never were nazis its a, historic lie. what you think nazis are, if you think they were socialists. they weren’t hitler had the socialists murdered after he’d finished using them to win votes. it was a fraud. the nazis were a party if catholics.
you’re burning a hole in my cerebellum from reading all of your nonsensical nursery rhymes. have you thought about putting them on hallmark cards?
wasn’t that exactly what adolf said after getting elected?
so, nuland started out with “fuck the eu” and baerbock finished up with ‘fuck the german voters”.
a people who could do as they have done deserve nothing better than to be enslaved grand duchess anastasia, of russia
pathetic people crushed by the rule of law. their disappointments of decades of oppression obvious all over their faces.
tell me, is there anyone in your family that ever bothered listening to you after the first few words?
i think they just politely smiled and then heard some nonexistent kettle whistling on the stove and promised to be right back.
3 hours later, he finally got the hint. lol
gimme gimme gimme says the zelbot. i demand that nato take me by dec 31st! you hear that, rutter booter? i demand it! now gimme gimme gimme.
and i though saakashvili was a sucker. this clown takes the cake.
this bastard want others to fight instead him like his fascist pal mister yahoo, who attacks iran and plays victim after iranian retaliation. both of them know, they can’t win their wars with internal resources. peace is also not acceptable for them, because they will be trialed.
now zitlensky threatens the west with his “best you think about my red lines, not russia’s. either nato takes us in now, right this minute, or we start building and using nukes.”
yeah, sure zitboy. they’ll be sure to take you in now. right into a padded cell.
somebody, pop that zit hard before he infects the planet.
hey, but what about that budapest memorandum promise you made us?
oh, that. that was non-binding just like that promise not to expand nato an inch eastward.
sorry, you’re out of luck, little fellow.
german citizens suffered years and years of austerity under merkel so that the government could use these billions of euros to fund ukraine war with russia.
now that you mention merkel, has she committed hari kiri yet?
our krauts are the finest cliff-jumpers ever. from heaven to hell in 3 years.
foreign minister anna bare back has said she couldn’t care less what german people want and will prioritise serving her us & zio masters. the german economy is collapsing because of nordstream, sanctions, global warming mumbo jumbo, over regulation, bureaucratic mismanagement, and us imposed economic war against china. under her and sergeant schulz, germany is a basket case.
so, they have that old saying ‘throwing good money after bad’ in germany too?
