In Yemen, fighting is raging for the town of Ma’rib, capital of the province of the same name, following the expiration of the ultimatum issued by the militants of Ansar Allah (the Houthis). Houthi military forces are intensifying their push towards the central Yemeni city from its western outskirts.

The Houthis asked Saudi-backed forces to lay down their weapons a week ago. After their conditions were not met, they launched an offensive in several districts of the province.

On September 28, the Houthis took control over the Al-Ghayul, Al-Sai’d, Samira, Al-Ahdhan heights and Nasir area. They also broke the defense of Saudi-backed forces al-Jubah district, pawing the way for capturing of the southern regions of the province, coming closer to the siege of the city of Ma’rib.

Meanwhile, clashes continue near the al-Khushaynah and Umm al-Rish military camps west of the city of Ma’rib. The clashes reached the bases on September 26th.

Saudi warplanes provide aerial support and have intensified their attacks on Houthi positions in the region. In the past 48 hours, Saudi coalition warplanes bombed Harib and Jubah 51 times, Sarwah 8 times, Madghal 3 times in the Marib province.

According to local reports, the Houthis used drones with explosives and rockets to attack the enemy forces.

“More than 28 members of the Houthi rebel group and 16 soldiers of pro-government forces have been killed in the past day during the fighting in Marib,” a local army source said.

At the same time, the Houthi leaders continue their talks with Al-Abdiyah tribes as some tribes confronted the Ansar Allah movement. The Houthis continue their attempts to avoid clashes with the allied tribes of the Saudi coalition and gain their support.

Houthi forces are also advancing into the Assilan district in Shabwa, where the Janna oil field is located.

The province of Ma’rib is of strategic importance. It hosts the biggest gas fields in the country, while Shabwa region also has several oil fields and the sole liquefied natural gas terminal in Yemen.

About 2.2 million people are currently leaving in 139 refugee camps in the Ma’rib province.

The Huthis tried to seize Marib in February and failed. They renewed their campaign in September, with much more success.

Today, the fighters are on the verge of changing the course of the war if they manage to take control over the government’s last bastion in the northern region.

The seizure of Ma’rib would also provide the Houthis with the upper hand in any peace negotiations.

Amid the Houthi success on the ground, President Joe Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, came to Saudi Arabia to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He is allegedly ordered to convince the Saudi Prince to move towards a ceasefire agreement with the Houthis.

Riyadh intervened in Yemen in 2015, supported by the United Arab Emirates, the United States and the United Kingdom.

The Biden administration has since allegedly reduced its military support to the Kingdom, saying it would continue to provide military assistance for the kingdom’s defence. Probably, it was the reason to provide  the coalition with the US-made ScanEagle drones that are regularly shot down over the Yemeni Ma’rib.

Taking into account, the recent military developments in Ma’rib and political activities of the warring parties, Yemen is likely to follow the example of Afghanistan in the near future.

Nice work by Houthi forces. The saudi imbeciles have no options left other than to flee North, which is what they specialize in.

The saudi clownshow ran out of sudanese mercs. How surprising?

He’s not a snake! He’s brave as lion.

Sudan had a coup – the use of Sudanese army as KSA mercenary force was contracted under previous and now ousted governing forces – the new Sudanese governing forces reduced mercenary numbers and began rotating them out of Yemen. Turns out its tricky to buy, and hold onto, an entire foreign army when your business partner is head of an unstable country!

I predicted this a year ago on this site, when Jewish and Saudi clowns were insisting Ma’arib would never be taken by the Houthi.

Suck it, losers!

Israel wants all countries/ territories where Jews were, were slaves. That is the reason why to kill millions Muslims, because Jewish population is low.. Maybe 20 millions in the whole world. First They want territories between Nile and Eufrat…. Maybe next years, if Muslims do not wake up. So far USA, UK, Saudis, UAE exists Jewish dream is alive. Israel wants Saudiarabia and Jemen if you read Haaretz above. Saudiarabia is number 1 weapon buyers, but no ones attacked Saudia. All weapons sends to terrorists supported by US, UK, EU, Israel, Saudiarabia, UAE, Egypt and so on

Saudis attacked Israelis during the so called Arab-Israeli wars.

Dennis Kovac

But not after Feisal ( killed). After him I mean. Mossad killed him by saudis traitors.
King Faisal, son of King Ibn Saud, fought in the military campaigns in the 1920s and ’30s that helped forge modern Saudi Arabia. He later served as Saudi ambassador to the United Nations and in 1953 was made premier upon the ascension of his older brother, Saud. In 1964, King Saud was pressured to abdicate, and Faisal became the absolute ruler of Saudi Arabia. As king, he sought to modernize his nation, and lent financial and moral support to anti-Israeli efforts in the Middle East. In 1975, Faisal was assassinated for reasons that remain obscure, and his brother, Crown Prince Khalid, ascended to the throne.

Nostradamus said that the third Antichrist will be Arab and MABUS. Compare MABUS to MBS.

Talk of ‘United States, United Arabs Emirates, United Kingdom, and ‘Arab – lead coalition’ such nonsense, The points is, all the United Gangs, which have ganged together are defeated by a loose aggregation of Houthi’s all risking their lives to reclaim their land and Dignity. The Bigger picture is that Gangs have no place in the current world. They were pushed out of Afghan by a loose aggregation of country boys and will be pushed out of Yemen, and Syria, Kosovo and other places. The corrupt center cannot hold.
I liken the word ‘United’ to the puffing up of animals to appear more scary, but more people are now calling the puffed up western gangs the bluffs they are.

‘…Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, came to Saudi Arabia to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He is allegedly ordered to convince the Saudi Prince to move towards a ceasefire agreement with the Houthis.’

This would account for the sudden removal of US patriot batteries from KSA, guessing was none too subtle message to bin-Salman Jr that US support for his aggressive war is dwindling. It didn’t help that it was damn embarrassing for Raytheon’s export sales that the Patriot completely failed to stop the mass missile and drone attack on Saudi oil facilities.

Simon Ndiritu

What was the use to the said ‘patriot’ if it couldn’t stop anything?? KSA and other US vassals should be ashamed of buying hype than practical systems. Americans were so interested in hyping up it junk and might have considered naming such a hapless system as ‘Liberty’ or ‘Democracy’ and brainless vassals would line up to buy it.
