Houthis Repel Large-Scale Saudi-led Coalition Attack In Central Yemen

Brigadier General Yahya Sari, spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces

On December 5, Brigadier General Yahya Sari, a spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces [an ally of the Houthis], announced that the Houthis and their allies had repelled a large-scale attack by the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies on their positions in the district of Nihm in the central Yemeni province of Sanaa.

“The enemy [Saudi-led coalition] attempted to advance, from morning until noon, towards the positions of the army and the popular committees [military wing of the Houthis] in three directions. The first towards Yam, al-Dbuah, al-Azimah, al-Salta and al-Barik, the second towards al-Tibah al-Sawdah, al-Ansab and al-Qarn, and the third towards Tibab Ayash,” Brig. Gen. Sari said in an official press release.

Saudi-led coalition warplanes supported the attack and conducted dozens of airstrikes on positions of the Houthis in Nihm. The coalition artillery also pounded the district. However, the strikes were ineffective.

According to Brig. Gen. Sari, more than 55 personnel of the Saudi-led coalition were killed during the failed advance attempt. The casualties included several Sudanese soldiers and a local commander, Khalid Ali al-Qardai.

After repelling the large-scale attack, a Qasef-1 armed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Yemeni Air Force [loyal to the Houthis] carried out a series of airstrikes on gatherings of Saudi-led coalition troops in Nihm.

“The aerial attack achived direct hits in the gatherings of the mercenaries [Saudi-backed Yemeni fighters],” a source in the Yemeni Air Force told al-Masirah TV.

The Saudi-led coalition has stepped up its operations against the Houthis in Sanaa after announcing a humanitarian ceasefire in the western city of al-Hudaydah earlier this month in what appears to be an attempt to pressure the Yemeni group ahead of the upcoming negotiations in Sweden.

The fight has come home for Houthis right in their heartland. This war will not end well for Houthis. Their children are starving to death, even more young and old are dying from disease and now there are bullets searching for every Houthis survivor. We all know Saudis believe they have no choice but to exterminate every last Houthis or Iran-Houthis will exterminate every last Saudi.

This is very sad as is every war. At least some wars have hope for peace. This war will be a battle to the death of every last Houthi for the next 20 years or however long it takes.

Seriously, you are complete MORON and could not find Yemen on a illuminated map. You get paid by hasbara and Saudi headchoppers to post the same crap on every story on Yemen.

R Trojson

You on the other hand are a war monger cheering for death. Death from starvation, death from disease, death from fighting. Is there no amount of death that will satisfy you?

How many Houthis will die before you will be satisfied? Answer- the death of every last Houthi will not even satisfy your love of death.

Bob

The Saudi and NATO supported naval blockade of Yemeni ports, and continued aerial bombardment of Yemeni infrastructure, its the major source of the supply problems in Yemen – if you don’t know this you are merely ignorant on topic, but if you deny or attempt to conceal this you are in the business of disinformation.

R Trojson

I completely agree, not sure why you believe I would not. Of course Saudis are going to ask their allies for support in this war.

Saudis tell their allies that Houthis are launching ballistic missiles at their cities. Every Saudi ally will do their part.

Concrete Mike

No what bob was reffering to was the fall of 2015 when saudi arabia destroyed the grain mills in hodeydah and bombed water infrastructure all over the country.

The missiles came after.

Try again.

R Trojson

Never said who started the war or whose fault it is. Would guess that both sides share some blame. But let’s assume it is all the Saudis fault. That does not change anything since Saudis know Iran is backing Houthis and Houthis will exterminate Saudis if they can. So Saudis believe they must exterminate every last Houthi.

Time for all to deal with reality, I believe it is not too late to save life.

Bob

Disinformation troll – again.

R Trojson

Certainly you are intelligent enough to disagree with at least one of my facts. Your idiotic insults completely ignore a thought provoking article. Are you here to discuss or insult?

Bob

Disinformation troll

R Trojson

Now you have lost me, positive negative switches? How about discussing the article and identifying one specific point from my post that you take issue with? I believe in you… certainly you can muster the strength to do that.

You can call me Al

Well, I can do trigonometry, but help me out will you please on what you are trying to point out ?.

Pave Way IV

Nothing. It was just interesting that someone plotted all the supposed missile attacks out. It’s no secret where they all came from – the interesting part is the cumulative number of attacks from the flip-flop army. And that, despite all the intel, tech and effort the Saudis/US have put into destroying those missiles and launchers so far. Material damage to Saudi Arabia is almost nil, of course – that’s not the point.

You can call me Al

Oh I see. yeah very good. You dont think it is a print off of the trajectories of incoming missiles then ?.

PS Learn to tick, up or down for all comments please, that is the point of the boxes.
