The Houthis have launched a Badr-1 missile at the Al-Anad air base in Yemen, which is controlled by the Saudi-led coalition, Yemen’s al-Masirah TV reported on May 17.

There are no details about the damage inflicted to the base and possible casualties among servicemembers of the Saudi-led coalition.

According to local sources, the Saudi-led coalition is actively using the Al-Anad air base to support its military operations on the western Yemeni coast and in the province of Taiz.

On May 14, the Houthis launched a Badr-1 missile at the Aramco Fuel Research Center in the Saudi province of Jizan. According to pro-Houthi sources, the missile hit the target. According to pro-Saudi sources, the missile was intercepted.

The Houthis use constant missile attack as a retaliatory measure to limi ground operations by Saudi-backed forces across Yemen. Recently, the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies have made a series of advances in northern Yemen. So, the Houthis have to respond somehow to the Saudi military activity.
