The younger brother of Abdel-Malek al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Houthi movement (Ansar Allah), has been assassinated, the group’s Ministry of Interior announced on August 9.

In an official statement, the ministry accused “the treacherous hands affiliated with the U.S.-Israeli aggression and its tools” of killing Ibrahim Badreddin al-Houthi, vowing to apprehend the assailants.

“[The ministry] will not hesitate and will spare no effort in pursuing, apprehending the tools of criminal aggression that carried out the assassination of the martyr Ibrahim al-Houthi and bringing them to justice so that they will receive their deterrent penalty,” the statement reads.

Yemeni sources claim that Ibrahim al-Houthi played a role in the Houthis’ 2015 Sanaa attack, which provoked the Saudi-led intervention.

Al-Arabia, a Saudi-affiliated news channel based in the UAE, said that Ibrahim al-Houthi and eight of his bodyguards were killed three days ago in Sanaa. These claims are yet to be verified.

Last year, a drone strike orchestrated by the Saudi-led coalition claimed the life of Saleh Ali al-Sammad, president of the Houthis Supreme Political Council. Back then, the Houthis responded with a large-scale missile strike on Saudi Arabia.

Rest in peace.
Although there’s no difference between the Ansarallah leader’s brother and many, many Yemeni who lost their lives, all are equal.

He’s not the first one of the family which is assassinated. Before him his 2 brothers, Hassan and Hussein and before them, their father was assassinated. Why?
In Shi’a philosophy for end of times, someone who is known as the Seyyed Yamaani plays a prominent role before the Emam reappears (which is accompanied by Jesus Christ). Apparently Saudis believe in Shia philosophy more than Shi’as themselves.
