On March 29, the Yemeni Missiles Force [loyal to the Houthis] announced that it had targeted a key oil facility of the Saudi Aramco oil company in the Saudi southern province of Jizan with a Badir-1 “ballistic missile”. The same facility was targeted with the same weapon on March 22.
While the Yemeni Missile Forces claim that Badir-1 is a “ballistic missile”, experts believe that the projectile is a locally-made copy of the Iranian-made solid fuel artillery rocket, Fajir-3.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition announced that one of its MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile systems had successfully intercepted a rocket over Jizan province. Later, Saudi activists published a video, on social networks, that proved the coalition claim.
The Houthis have stepped up their missile and rocket attacks against the Saudi-led coalition since the beginning of 2018. On March 25 alone, the Houthis shelled four airports and several other targets inside Saudi Arabia with seven missiles and rockets.
Destroy the oil infrastructure, and you take away the money the Saudis need to wage war.
Well-said!
This does not look like interception at all.
yes it does
LOL
Will Russia be providing S-300 system to Yemen anytime soon to prevent genocide of another 100,000 civilians genocided?
OF course not. Putin and Russia support Israel and Saudi Arabia!
Absolute BS – how can they supply anything to The Yemen when there is a full blockade ?.
This is not an interception. The strike was successful.
The Yemenis are getting exponentially better at retaliation even inside Saudi and friends’ borders. I fully expect their next move to be multiple missile attacks from diferent places within Yemen aimed at the same enemy target. Thank God for their success and may they defeat their enemies ASAP, to save the innocent people of Yemen from not only bombs, but starvation and illness.
