Houthis Ambush Military Convoy In Southern Saudi Arabia

Fighters of Ansar Allah (also known as the Houthis) have ambushed a military convoy in the southern Saudi province of Najran, the media says.

The attack allegedly took place near the al-Sadis military base late on July 13. According to pro-Houthi sources, at least 10 Saudi troops and a few battle tanks were destroyed in the attack. However, this number sounds overestimated.

Separately, the Houthis launched a Zelzal 2-type missile at a military camp in the southwestern Saudi province of Asir.

After the failed Saudi-backed attack on the Houthis-held port city of al-Hudaydah in western Yemen, the conflict between the sides have once again turned into a partisan war with the Houthis carrying out hit and run attacks against Saudi targets.

They gave up attacking the port?

S Melanson

They gave up end of June when the Coalition announced a pause in the assault on the port to give time for diplomatic efforts. This was a cover for coalition defeat and i believe that the attacking coalition forces which were cut off by the Houthis were systematically destroyed in the pocket Given they were supply starved.

The Coalition never took the airport let alone the port. Coalition media reports were and continue to be largely fiction and fantasy. Reporting from the Houthis tends to be pretty accurate and so I question the article claims that Houthi claimed of 10 Saudi soldiers killed and a few battle tanks destroyed is an exaggeration. What? These casualty figures are modest and the article provides no justification to challenge these figures.

These yemenis are a pleasant surprise. Truly they prove napolean right the morale is to men as 3 is to 1.

Guess the saudis need more soldiers to go with their fancy gear.
