A series of rocket and drone attacks targeted sites and gatherings of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) along the border with Lebanon, with Hezbollah claiming responsibility.
In separate statements, Hezbollah said its fighters fired Burkan heavy improvised rockets at the settlement of Shlomi as well as the sites of al-Malikiyah, Jal al-Alam, Ruwaisat al-Alam and al-Jardah. In addition, the group announced that it had targeted gatherings of Israeli troops in the site of Ramya, Shtoula barracks and Shomir barracks with artillery fire and missiles.
A salvo of Katyusha rockets also targeted an artillery position of the IDF in the al-Zaoura base, according to the group, which reported another rocket attack on the Zabdin barracks.
Moreover, the group said that an electronic warfare system of the IDF deployed at the al-Asi site was struck with a suicide drone.
The attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip as well as in response to recent Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, Hezbollah noted in its statements.
Hebrew media didn’t report any casualties. Nevertheless, there were material losses in Shlomi and several of the targeted IDF sites.
In response to the attacks, the IDF announced that it had carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. The airstrikes targeted the towns of Ayta al-Shaab, Arnoun and Tayr Harfa. Israeli troops also shelled areas near the town of Aalma al–Shaab with artillery to “remove threats,” the IDF said.
Lebanese media reported that a volunteer first responder from the Islamic Message Scouts Association, which is linked to the Hezbollah-allied Amal Movement, was killed in one of the Israeli strikes that targeted southern Lebanon.
The clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out after the start of the war in Gaza last October, with Hezbollah and its allies carrying out attacks in support of the Strip.
So far, the border clashes have resulted in eight civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least ten IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 400 people have been killed, including 253 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 70 civilians.

lebanon was an affluent society until the illegal occupiers arrived on the scene and set about to destroy the land/middle east for their own ends. the illegal occupiers are unable to live in peace with its neighbours and that is the sole reason why the middle east is such a mess today!
the israelis are a typical european settler colonial society.
they’re an anachronism because they are in the wrong century. 100 years ago all the other europeans were doing the same.
