The Hamas Movement delayed the release of the second group of Israeli hostages from the Gaza Strip on November 24 after Israel violated the terms of the agreement.

In a brief statement, Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said that the release of the hostages will be delayed until Israel fulfill the terms of the agreement related to the entry of aid trucks into northern Gaza and adhere to the agreed-upon standards for the release of Palestinian prisoners.

Earlier, A senior adviser to Hamas leader abroad Ismail Haniyeh, Taher al-Nono, told Al-Jazeera that Israel did not comply with terms regarding the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into Gaza, particularly regarding the distribution of aid in the northern Strip.

In addition, there has been some back-and-forth negotiation over whether 13 or 14 Israelis will be released by Hamas as a part of the second group. However, it is unclear if that is a factor in the delay.

While Israel has said it is expecting 13 hostages, the Israel Prison Service has made preparations for the release of 42 Palestinian prisoners. Under the terms of the agreement, three prisoners are released for every Israeli hostage.

The setback came after Egyptian officials said that the ceasefire in Gaza could be extended for a further one or two days to enable the release of more Israeli hostages.

Citing the officials, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster said that there were “positive signs” that the temporary ceasefire could be extended.

However, a senior official involved in the indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas called reports regarding the extension of the ongoing truce in Gaza “ridiculous” and “false.” The official told The Times of Israel that it’s highly unlikely any deal extending the temporary ceasefire beyond four days will be finalized more than a day or even hours ahead of time.

Under the current agreement, Hamas is supposed to release only 50 out of more than 240 Israeli who were taken hostages during the October 7 surprise attack on Israel. In exchange for their release, some 150 Palestinians prisoners will be freed from Israeli jails.

Despite the delay, Israel and Hamas will likely go on with the agreement. The situation in Gaza is still calm with clashes or strikes being reported.

is anyone really surprised that the judeo-nazi scum never honor their agreements. jesus to the jewish leaders:
“for you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. he was a murderer from the beginning. he has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. when he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (john 8:44)

when the zionazi offers to embrace you in peace it will knife you in the back. never believe anything this chosenite mob of psychopaths says. israhell must be destroyed for peace ever to exist in the middle east. it is impossible to live with a rabid pit bull frothing at the snout and terrorizing the region. the vicious mutt must be “neutered”.

people should avoid the misnomer “october 7 surprise attack” only because it was a surprise for them. it was not a surprise for the zionist establishment, not for hamas and not even for the egyptian intelligence. it’s time to face the facts! same was the “the surprise attack” on pearl harbor. why blur the historical narrative? why obfuscate the truth?

the zionazis and the anglozios that feed this beast are natural born liars and killers. if anyone imagines there will be peace in the middle east as long as the maggot nests in occupied palestine then they have learned nothing from history and the scourge of the chosenite plague that has been banished from every nation they have infected. to cure the disease ussa must be rid of the rotten chosenite albatro$$.
