On January 16, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) artillery shelled a post of the Turkish military near the town of Kansafra in the southern part of the Greater Idlib region.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the shelling wounded a few Turkish service members. However, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense is yet to confirmed this.
The real target of the SAA artillery strike was likely militants of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and its allies, who usually take shelter near Turkish posts.
A day earlier, the SOHR revealed that the Turkish military has expanded one of its new posts in the southern part of Greater Idlib. The post was built in the eastern district of Afes on January 8. Now, the town’s entire eastern direct is occupied by Turkish troops.
“Turkish forces brought in tanks and heavy weapons, and increased the number of troops at the [Afes] point to around 75 … In addition, surveillance systems were installed,” the SOHR said in a report.
Afes post is located 2,5 kilometers to the north of the M4 highway, which links the industrial city of Aleppo with the port Lattakia, and 3 km to the west of the M5 highway that links Aleppo with the capita, Damascus.
Turkey’s military buildup in Greater Idlib continues to provoke Damascus and its allies. Despite this, the two sides will not likely clash with each other in the unstable region anytime soon.
ki
Turkoid terrorist infestation in Idlib is now so escalated it’s becoming difficult do drop a bomb in Idlib without Erdoganist invaders being in close proximity to it.
In any case, more dead or at least wounded Erdoganist invaders is always a good and welcome thing.

Fuck turkey, gobble gobble
You are upsetting your mama she’s got a Turkish boyfriend
Syria is losing patience with Turkey as is Russia. The Turks would do best to ensure HTS do not camp out near their outposts.
Just let the game start..
