فيديوهات رسومية توثق هجومًا مميتًا من قبل قوات الحكومة السورية على المستشفى الوطني في محافظة السويداء الجنوبية الشهر الماضي ظهرت على الإنترنت في 10 أغسطس.
وقع الهجوم في 16 يوليو، بعد ثلاثة أيام من أن أرسلت الحكومة المؤقتة التي يقودها الإسلاميون قواتها في السويداء لكسر صراع بين مقاتلي الدروز والبدو السنّة. انتهت الحرب بأن دعمت القوات الحكومية البدو وحاولت السيطرة على مدينة السويداء.
تدخّلت إسرائيل دعمًا للدروز، مستشهدة بعلاقاتها التاريخية مع مجتمعها الدرزي. وسيّدت الولايات المتحدة هدنة في اليوم الذي وقع فيه الهجوم على المستشفى. ومع ذلك، تجمّع البدو من جميع أنحاء البلاد للهجوم على مقاتلي الدروز. توقّفت القتال بعد بضعة أيام فقط.
احتفظ مقاتلو الدروز بالسيطرة على مدينة السويداء مع ما يقرب من ريفها الشرقي والجنوبي. في المقابل، سيطرت القوات الحكومية على معظم ريف المحافظة الشمالي الغربي. ومنذ ذلك الحين، بقيت السويداء تحت حصار حكومي.
خلال القتال أُبلغ عن سلسلة من جرائم الحرب التي ارتكبتها القوات الحكومية والبدو، من النهب إلى الحريق والاختطاف والتعذيب والإعدامات الميدانية. فيما بعد، وعدت الحكومة بالتحقيق في هذه الانتهاكات، دون تحمل المسؤولية بشكل صريح.
أفاد نشطاء من السويداء أولًا بوقوع مجزرة في المستشفى الوطني بالمدينة بعد ساعات قليلة فقط من اقتحامه من قبل القوات الحكومية في 16 يوليو.
بعد انسحاب القوات، عُثر على العشرات من الجثث، بعضها مشوّهة تمامًا بسبب إطلاق النار، في المستشفى.
أحد الفيديوهات الحديثة يظهر جنودًا يرتدون الزي الرسمي للجيش السوري، وآخرين يرتدون زي أجهزة الأمن، يعتدون على عامل في المستشفى ثم يقتلونه دون سبب واضح. كان المقاتلون قد جمعوا جميع العاملين في قاعة الاستقبال الرئيسية بالمستشفى. ثم يظهر جسد الضحية وهو يُجرّ خارجًا بواسطة أحد الجنود.
وقد حُدد اسم الضحية من قبل النشطاء بأنه محمد بهّاص، مهندس مدني درزي يعمل في المستشفى كمتطوع.
وتظهر فيديوهات أخرى جنود الحكومة، بعضها يحمل شارات تحمل العلم الأسود المرتبط بتنظيم داعش الإرهابي، وهي تقتحم المستشفى بدعم من دبابة رئيسية، ثم تفتح النيران داخله وتدمر كاميرات المراقبة.
وفقًا للمرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان، وهو مجموعة رصد مقرها لندن، فإن المعركة في السويداء أودت بحياة 1,620 شخصًا، من بينهم ما لا يقل عن 401 مدني درزي أُعدموا على أساس طائفي من قبل مقاتلي الحكومة والبدو.
ومن المتوقع أن يكون عدد القتلى الحقيقي أعلى بكثير، حيث لا تزال جثث العديد من مقاتلي الدروز والمدنيين ملقاة على الأرض في أكثر من 30 بلدة تسيطر عليها القوات الحكومية.
النزاع لم ينته بعد. لا تزال الاشتباكات تُسجل في السويداء يوميًا، وإن كانت على نطاق محدود جدًا. يبدو أن الحكومة عازمة على إخضاع الدروز، الذين يطالبون من جانبهم بانسحاب كامل لجميع القوات الحكومية من محافظتهم.
