Today morning, the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have launched a fresh offensive on Tell Kurdi in the Eastern Ghouta region, located near the Syrian capita, Damascus.
We recall on October 2, the army and the NDF entered the town of Deir Khabiyeh at the outskirts of Khan Al-Sheih in the Western Ghouta region after taking control of some 10km of the nearby farmlands. Clashes have been ongoing in the area since then.
