Government Forces Repelled HTS Attack In Daraa

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have repelled an joint attack of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) on its remaining positions in Al-Manshiya district of Daraa.

During the clashes, the SAA damaged two tanks and destroyed three rocket launchers, along with killing and wounding several fighters from HTS and the FSA.

From its side, the FSA claimed that it destroyed a tank of the SAA with a TOW missile in Sijna district. HTS also destroyed one of the headquarters of the SAA in Sijna district with an Omar heavy rocket.

Opposition sources claimed that a rocket launcher of the SAA has exploded in Al-Qusour district as a result of a technical failure.

Syrian Air Force attack helicopters and warplanes carried out more than 80 air strikes on HTS and FSA positions in the Daraa al-Balad area. Moreover, Syrian warplanes also targeted HTS positions in the town of Naima, east of Daraa city.

The SAA is preparing to launch a large operation in Daraa city to restore Al-Manshiya district or liberate Nuimah town with the participation of special forces from Hezbollah, and the Fourth Division backed by the Russian Air Force. In case of success, the SAA may continue its advance to capture the entire Daraa city.
