Government forces have liberated 520km2 in the southern Syrian province of Daraa thanks to a successful military operation and a series of local reconciliation deals in the area. 230km2 were liberated under the reached deals. 290km2 were liberated because of a military operation.
Currently, the Syrian Arab Army, the Tiger Forces and their allies are aiming to retake the town of Taybah and the villages of Nassib and Um Mayazin southeast of the city of Daraa. When they are secured, government forces will be able to focus on isolating and liberating the city of Daraa itself.
