Today morning, the Syrian army, the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Hezbollah have made a new push to seize the Sheikh Sa’eed Neighborhood of Aleppo city that had been controlled by militants of the Jaish al-Fatah operation room (it unites Al Nusra and its allies operating inside and outside Aleppo city). The pro-government forces have reportedly seized a number of building blocks in Sheikh Sa’eed and now is developing the advance there. Pro-militant sources argue that the operation is massively supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces. Up to 30 air strikes have been reported since the morning. Some pro-government media outlets report that Sheikh Sa’eed is successfully secured. However, this has not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Al Nusra and its allies have launched a counter-offensive in the Handarat refugee camp that was seized by the Syrian army and its allies on September 24. Now, the camp remains a contensed area with terrorists deployed in its eastern part. Heavy clashes are ongoing in the area. Russian and Syrian warplanes have been reportedly delivering air strikes on terrorist targets there. According unfonfirmed reports, since today morning, the Russian-Syrian air power has carried out some 20 air strikes there.
In general, the pro-government forces are remaining in an offensive position inside and outside Aleppo city and strengthening the pressure on terrorists in eastern Aleppo.
Everything seems to be going fine now. Russian Air power is unlocking piece by piece new parts of Aleppo for the Syrian Army making on-the- ground fighting easier. As I thought the Sheik Saeed neighborhood is a natural point of attack. Let’s hope that the Syrian army quickly can exploit recent gains and divide Aleppo in two. Then it will be a case of squeezing the rebel scum out into the open ground and expedite them to a better world. Thank you, Russian Air power, you are saving lives every day, the more you can bomb the rebels, the quicker it will be over.
The Russian air strikes have proved to be accurate and disastrous ! They have done what the US would have done in 18371 years .Lets remember how long has it been since the us coolition has started the bombing of ISIS in Syria and Irak. What has it succeeded ?minor terrorist casualties, mostly because it considers 99.99% of teh rebels ‘moderate’. Unfortunately its the other way round….99,99% are common criminals.
soon 99.99% will be bloated rotting corpses festering in the sun….
The Russians are the heroes here. Hopefully we can get a President Trump and end all of the support to ISIS in January. As for Aleppo… the ‘rebels’ in the East can’t resupply anymore so each of these offensives depletes them of scarce ammunition and resources. They won’t be able to fight forever.
If SAA can retake occuppied East Aleppo it will interesting to see which foreign states’ intelligence and military advisers may get caught up and trapped there – is highly likely Turkish military personnel are operating there, but who else?
Saudis & Qataris I’m guessing, as well as the kebabs.
