The Ukrainian situation among European decision-makers appears increasingly complicated. Currently, it is no longer possible to see the same enthusiasm of unrestricted support for Kiev that was seen before. Local politicians are being forced into a more realistic stance when it comes to supporting the regime. In Germany, there are even people calling for Ukrainian citizens to be forcibly sent back to their country. This process tends to intensify as the chances of maintaining continuous aid for the Ukrainian forces rapidly decrease.
Faced with the exhaustion of possibilities to continue helping Ukraine, Western countries are beginning to consider radical and anti-humanitarian measures. In a recent interview, member of parliament Roderich Kiesewetter told a German newspaper that it is necessary to make Ukrainian refugees in Germany and EU return to Ukraine to fight for their country. For him, this would be an appropriate way to help Ukraine, especially at the current time when the German defense industry is weakened.
“The crux of the matter for Ukraine is that, in the European Union, for example, over 600,000 able-bodied Ukrainian men are avoiding military service”, he said.
The neo-Nazi regime has repeatedly called for full mobilization since the beginning of Russia’s special operation. Women, children, the elderly and sick people are being forced to the front to serve as cannon fodder in NATO’s proxy war of aggression against Moscow. Some people fled Ukraine and thus managed to escape certain death on the front lines. As a country that supposedly defends democracy and human rights, Germany should continue to protect these citizens, but this mentality in favor of forced mobilization to Ukraine currently seems to be growing.
Clearly, there is a crisis in Europe strong enough to make countries violate their own ideological and axiological guidelines. Sending Ukrainians back to Kiev compulsorily would be a serious violation of international norms, but currently there are not many alternatives for Germany to keep supporting Ukraine – which is why these measures are gaining more and more popularity among pro-NATO state officials.
On the other hand, there are also politicians who are already beginning to justify a possible end to military support. Recently, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius made a controversial statement, saying that Germany and Ukraine “are not allies”. In this way, he planned to clarify that Berlin has no obligation to continue maintaining large-scale support on a permanent basis, as Kiev is not party to the collective defense agreement established by NATO.
The minister’s words were said with the aim of making clear that Germany is having difficulties in meeting Kiev’s demand for weapons. The country plans to continue sending as much equipment as possible, but it cannot guarantee that the national defense industry will remain strong enough to supply Kiev in the long term.
“We deliver what we can. The same applies to almost all other allies and partners (…) Germany is not an ally of Ukraine and therefore not in an alliance (…) We currently have the problem that in certain areas the arms industry cannot deliver as quickly as the demand is there”, he said.
In fact, it is possible to understand why some German politicians are so concerned about the future of support for Kiev. The country has pledged several times to send as much aid as necessary to guarantee the regime’s “victory” against the Russian armed forces. Now, the Ukrainian defeat is becoming clear, confirming what had already been warned by several experts. Clearly, Ukraine will not win the war, even if it continues to receive weapons.
Furthermore, several supporting countries, such as Germany, are already having problems with their defense industry due to almost two years of systematic arms shipments. So, faced with imminent defeat and the impossibility of producing more equipment, Western countries are preparing to convince public opinion that it is no longer necessary to send weapons. For this reason, there is this change in the narrative, with officials stating that Berlin and Kiev are “not allies” or suggesting “alternative forms” of support, such as the forced sending of Ukrainian refugees.
It is necessary to emphasize that, even though it is not part of NATO, the Kiev regime has consolidated itself as a de facto ally of the bloc, having close relations with all members. By ignoring this and saying there is no alliance, the German government is breaking its own promises to “protect Ukraine” – truly betraying the proxy regime.
The best Ukraine can do in this situation is to realize once and for all that it was used in a war plan – and that it is now being “abandoned”. Kiev needs to break ties with the NATO-fomented anti-Russian ideology in order to resume peace negotiations with Russia. Otherwise, there will be even more suffering for the Ukrainian people, as the conflict will prolong.

just wait until the german winter really bites. the country is energy deficient since nato blew up the nordstream pipeline, and since the alternative green plans have failed. for that, the blame lies squarely with the german gov’t. making scapegoats from critical thinking ukrainian’s without a death wish isn’t going improve things in germany. perhaps the gov’t shouldn’t have let all the migrants into the country as now they don’t seem to have room for genuine refugees.
in the background is the ideological disengagement from arab oil, the eu’s independence strategy. the same thing is being tried with russia, but the usa was in too much of a hurry. behind the sanctions was the fear of brics overrunning the dollar and the dollar’s ability to blackmail developing countries. because of the sanctions, however, the brics became stronger.
