France is going to supply Kiev with an additional batch of SCALP missiles “for strikes outside the front line,” as well as Mistral missiles for air defense. This was announced by French Minister of the Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu in his interview.
The head of the French defense ministry assured that Paris would continue to support Kiev, which, according to him, should allow the Ukrainian authorities to consider some “political solutions.”
“We will again supply Mistral missiles, in particular to protect combat zones. And so that Ukraine can strike behind the front line, in the last few days I have signed an order to transfer a new batch of about ten SCALP missiles in accordance with the promises of French President Emmanuel Macron, which he gave to Vladimir Zelensky,” the minister said.
“Military support is extremely important, and even when the conflict is over, we must continue to strengthen the Ukrainian army,” he stressed.
France will supply up to 10 SCALP missiles and an undisclosed number of Mistral missiles. In this context, the French Minister also announced his intention to continue the training program for Ukrainian servicemen.

The declared number of supplies is only enough to provide for the current needs of the Ukrainian military. A dozen SCALP missiles is necessary to launch one or two attacks with upgraded Su-24M aircraft.
Russian military observers supposed that the declared missiles are already stored at the Starokonstantinov military airfield in the Khmelnitsk region, where Russian forces are launching constant strikes.
The declared supplies followed the missiles for air defense systems, which the Pentagon promised to Kiev the day before.
The West is rushing to arm Kiev until the new old US President Trump comes to power and implements his plans. All the WEstern leaders are following their own political goals.
Earlier, the Minister Delegate for European Affairs in the government of Prime Minister, Benjamin Haddad, said that Paris supports Ukraine “not out of altruism”, but for the sake of preserving its own authority in Europe. He claimed that it was France that pushed its partners to expand military support for Kiev, including the supply of tanks, long-range weapons and air defense systems. According to him, the defeat of Ukraine will affect France’s “defense authority” in Europe. In his interview, he also said that France considers it a priority to agree on an official invitation to Ukraine to join NATO, although he admitted that the process of joining the alliance itself can be quite long.
