The former commander of the U.S. Army in Europe predicts that the United States will likely be engated in war with China in 15 years.
“I think in 15 years — it’s not inevitable, but it is a very strong likelihood — that we will be at war with China. The United States does not have the capacity to do everything it has to do in Europe and in the Pacific to deal with the Chinese threat,” Retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges said at a Warsaw security forum on October 24, according to Military Times.
He also called on US allies in Europe to do more to counter a threat from Russia because the US would be busy with combating China in the Pacific and would not have time to defend them from the Kremlin’s long hands.
Retired Lt. Gen. Hodges was the U.S. Army commander in Europe in 2014-2017. Currently, he is with the Center for European Policy Analysis. His remarks reflects the current troublesome relations between Washington and Beijing, which are obviously heading for a further conflict in the economic, diplomatic and in the worst case scenario military fields.
And how it will be? Both countries have nukes what kind of war there will be. Maybe cyber and economic war. Or its just a disinformation for europeans that they would boost combating Russia.
Doesn’t matter; just get ready to party and burn all dollars.
The good news is that with present and past senior officers such as Hodges, their inability to comprehend reality is alive and well in NATO.
In a war with equals Reality matters :)
