On August 3rd, a fire broke out at the Misrata International Airport, which is a Turkish base of operations in Libya.

It doesn’t appear to be a result of any attack by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar’s forces, but rather an incident. No significant damages and no injuries have been reported.

Separately, the Government of National Accord’s Sirte and Jufra operation commander Abdulhadi Drah said that all the troops, including Turkish armed forces, mercenaries and militants who came from Syria, are present and ready for the possible siege and takeover of Sirte.

On the side of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar’s forces received a new batch of Jordanian RPG-32.

A video showed that a group of LNA soldiers, at Tariq bin Ziyad battalion base in Benghazi, which Haftar recently visited, were allegedly preparing to depart for Egypt.

The Libyan National Oil Corporation said that since the blockade of oil facilities began, Libya has lost $7.8 billion.

Finally, on the diplomatic front, the US appears to be becoming more active in rhetoric toward Libya, calling for a peaceful solution.

White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien said:

“The United States is deeply troubled by the escalating conflict in Libya. We strongly oppose foreign military involvement, including the use of mercenaries and private military contractors, by all sides.”

Cant we just send in the Kardashians to smash the turks with their big asses?
Who needs hulk smash when you got ASS SMASH.

HiaNd

They are just one Tweet away from Ass Armageddon

The Objective

We’ll see

HiaNd

If US is calling for “peace” that only means that Haftar position is looking good

The Objective

The U.S threatened to sanction Egypt just days ago. Sisi won’t invade Libya. It seems like Sisi is falling out of favor with the U.S. He is leaning too much towards Russia. If he gets to far, expect a violent demonstration across Egypt sponsored by the same Americans who got him into power.

HiaNd

Well I have answer to all that.
If Sisi has more than one brain cell the last country to trust or obey is the US.
If in his place I would pretend a period of time (as long as I can collect all US “military aid”)
and only than I would just go straight with my own objectives and interests.
That’s exactly what he did

He has bought 24 SU-35S directly against US strict orders and threats of sanctions.
So now is to late for him to smile in their direction
They would “sanction him” but they probably don’t have much to sanction.
For money there is China for weapons France and Russia.
He couldn’t give flying fuck about spare part for F-16 or those useless M1 Abrams that are already out of service practically.
Sisi is not sissy, he is OK and he has some new(old ) friends backing him up!
60 genders LGBTQ Uncle Schlomo can go fuck himself !

Egypt do have a great number of F-16.
It’s 218 F-16 according to wikipedia and that is to many not to care about them.

HiaNd

Have you ever heard about “cannibalization ” of the parts if you did than I don’t have to paint the picture to you.
They can always sell those F-16 and move to French jets(with which they have long tradition like with Soviet-Russian as well)
They have some Mirage or even Rafale …I don’t now which and how many and I can’t be bothered to look
Now they have 50 MIG-29M2 and 24 SU-35S that’s already plenty…
France would be happy to sell them more weapons also..

swedish_viking

I think they don’t want to cannibalize there F-16 unless they really have no choice.
Egypt has most F-16C and F-16D (at least 138 Block40 and 20 Block52).
F-16 is the main fighter of the Egyptian air force.
Egypt might have received 5 SU-35 some weeks ago, they do not have 24 and 0 has entered into active service.
I don’t know if all MIG-29 have been delivered yet but they did buy 46 which was to be completely delivered by 2020 (one crashed in 2018).
They have between 14-24 Rafale (i can’t find much information of deliveries after 2017 but they might have received the last 10).
I didn’t mention older jets from France.
I do agree that Egypt will probably buy more jets from France and Russia so there not as dependent on USA.

HiaNd

They cannibalize them when irreparably broken and to fly others with those parts is good choice if under sanctions…. or to sell them all is even better choice for Egypt

They DO have 24 BOUGHT from which 5 was received SU-35
I was reading about 52 MIG not 46 but it might be 46 after all.

I agree that Egypt will most definitely diversify into French-Russian mix to abandon US

The Objective

Then you should pray the CIA does not start another revolution and Civil war in Egypt. Russia can’t handle such a situation. Russia is barely trying to keep Syria from disintegrating. Adding Egypt to that load will be unbearable for the Kremlin.

HiaNd

Those who don’t take risks hardly ever win!
Luck loves courageous people.
The best defense is always attack!
I’ll leave prayers to wise people like you…

HardHawk

is this your well wishing, talking? maybe the amerikans do well to look into their own house and bring it in order that is coming apart at its seems and then threaten countries that can not even fart at their balls since they run out of defenseless nations to attack.

The Objective

I hear Sisi has backtracked and is now supporting the Libyan tribes only. Once Russia reaches a deal with Turkey and the Wagners pull out of Libya, we’ll see how far Haftar’s forces will fare.
As a side note: Iran is not in support of the GNA. Iran will not support nay Sunni government that leans towards Islamic rule – never. They’ll prefer a secular rule like in Taliban. So Iran’s expression of support should be taken for one of their deceptions. it is aimed at maintaining economic ties with Turkey, which is one of Iran’s few remaining markets for oil imports.
Erdogan knows well, but I belief the Iranians won’t outsmart the Sultan.

HardHawk

you got a point in what you saying but is assumptions and one sided. As I said what you posting is what you wish it to happen not what is happening on the ground.

Countries like Russia dont base their long term global strategies the way you think and express yourself they do based as you suggesting. And the last thing the Russians want is the sultan as you call him to win in Libya and even less Egyptians want that.

Try and rethink it again taking all in and not focusing in what you think is fact. Iran have used a lot in the past as well as now turkey as a way out but supporting what they are fighting against in Syria is something it exist I think only in your mind. They do know if turkey win in Libya will make a U turn as far Russia is concerned. Why you think despite threats no embargo been enforced on her from UK/USA ? I dont think you read correctly what is happening.

The Objective

Russia has nearly soled out Assad. At one point, Assad appeared on the verge of taking the whole of Syria. But what do we have now?

Agram-atos

Les Turcs ont passe la. Tout est ruins et deuil……………..

Tommy Jensen

I also call for peace, and urge the parties to talk the many problems over with each other.
