On Saturday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a large-scale attack in Ayn Tarma area and Jobar district aggainst Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and Faylaq al-Rahman east of the capital of Damascus. The SAA captured several buildings in Jobar district and Sunbol Gas Station street in Ayn Tarma, according to pro government sources.

Furthermore, Syrian Air Force warplanes targeted Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and Faylaq al-Rahman fortifications of in Jobar and Ayn Tarma with more than 16 airstrikes, according opposition sources. The two areas were also targeted with more than 60 heavy Burkan rockets during the past 24 hours.
From its side, Faylaq al-Rahman announced that its fighters damaged a SAA 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer in Ayn Tarma with a TOW missile.

Faylaq al-Rahman also claimed that its fighters managed to hit a SAA tank and two Shilka vehicles and destroyed a Burkan rocket launcher in Ayn Tarma front. Moreover, 15 Syrian soldiers were killed during the clashes today in Ayn Tarma, according to Faylaq al-Rahman.

The Saudi-backed “Syria’s Tomorrow Movement “leader Ahmed al-Jarba held Faylaq al-Rahman responsibility for the bloodshed in Eastern Ghouta due to its rejection of the Russian de-escalation agreement during a press conference in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
“We hold Faylaq al-Rahman who did not sign Eastern Ghouta Agreement responsibility for the bloodshed there” Al-Jarba said, adding: ” Faylaq al-Rahman did not sign Ghouta agreement, so the clashes continue in some places.”
He stressed that “the blood of the Syrian people is more valuable than recording a point here or there.” Ahmed al-Jarba’s statement reflects the great differences between all the opposition sides in Eastern Ghouta.
