Fighting On The Armenian-Azerbaijani Border Continues

On August 8th, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry claimed that the Armenian Armed Forces had shelled their positions on the border. The same claims have been made on a daily basis since the late July.

On August 8, at 13:00 the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the Arazdeyen settlement of the Vedi region using small arms periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions in the direction of the Heydarabad settlement of the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. – the reports reads.

No losses have been reported in the Azerbaijani ranks during the recent escalation.

The Armenian Defence Ministry is yet to comment on the recent accusations. However, on August 6th, it reported the escalation in the Yeraskh region on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, blaiming the Azerbaijani side for the provocation.

On July 28th, clashes resumed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Baku said that Armenia had violated the ceasefire agreement. Yerevan announced that three Armenian soldiers were killed and five wounded during a shootout on the border with Azerbaijan in the Gegharkunik region on July 28.

Later, the parties confirmed the agreement on a ceasefire on the border. According to the Armenian military department, the agreement was reached through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers.

Since then, the situation remain tense, with sporadic clashes on the border.

That wasn’t Armenians.
It was mostly illegal aliens and dead people.
