An explosion has hit the southeastern Turkish town of Mardin just hours prior to the visit of the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu.
Local media has reported that the central square of Mardin has been struck by an explosion just a few hours before PM Davutoglu’s visit. According to the reports, Davutoglu was going to walk just by that same square and the police is currently searching for other explosive devices in the area.
One person was injured in the blast and was hospitalized. The security measures have been increased in the city.
