The European Union has lifted sanctions on Russia’s rocket fuel components needed for European space program launches.
“The Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2015/1764 in order to permit certain operations… for the use of launches of space programs of the Union, its Member States or of the European Space Agency,” the document published on the website of the Official Journal of the European Union stated.
The regulation permites the import, purchase and transport of Hydrazine, unsymmerical dimethyl hydrazine and monomethyl hydrazine. It takes effect on Friday, October 9.
