On February 16, Egyptian Army spokesman Colonel Tamer Rifai announced in an official statement that the Egyptian Army artillery had destroyed 68 positions, hideouts and ammo depots of ISIS cells in the Sinai Peninsula. 150 more positions of ISIS were discovered and destroyed by the Egyptian Army, units according to the official statement.
Moreover, army soldiers killed 3 ISIS fighters and arrested 224 suspects during the ongoing anti-ISIS operation in the Sinai Peninsula. 10 vehicles and 22 motorcycles of ISIS and drug traffickers were also destroyed by the army.
Col. Rifai added that the Egyptian Air Force (EAF) had conducted observation mission over the Sinai Peninsula supporting the army and security forces there. Furthermore, army demining squads detonated 28 IEDs, which had been planted by ISIS cells in different areas of Sinai, according to Col. Rifai.
From its side, ISIS has not conducted any defensive or offensive operations in the Sinai Peninsula since the beginning of the Egyptian Army military operation there on February 9. The army likely succeeded in striking a powerful blow to ISIS in Sinai during the first week of its military operation.

Good lads, go and relax, have an oozo – then same again tomorrow please.
Egypt knows that between Daesh in Sinai and the rogue elements in what’s left of Libya they have been slated for regime change. Luckily the Russian advisors in Egypt are helping to quash the attempt before it gains momentum. The pattern has become clear and it is now possible to recognise the early signs of salafist regime-change/chaos fighters trying to fulfil their plans. Again a country next to Israel is a target. Funny that. And the mainstream media seems to have no clue or have any suspiciousness that countries next to Israel are being smashed by US/EU supported “freedom-fighters”. We are all being taken for a ride.
