On December 9, several videos documenting some of the Russian military’s recent operations against Kiev forces surfaced online.
15 of the videos show dozens of attacks with FPV suicide drones, grenade-dropping drones, and interceptor drones that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, across several directions within the special military operation zone over the last few days.
An addition video shows a strike with what appears to be a Geran-type fixed-wing suicide drone that targeted a Ukrainian drone unit near the settlement of Kalievka in the Sumy direction.
Another video shows airstrikes with UMPK-equipped guided glide bombs that hit positions of Kiev forces in Vilcha in the Kharkiv direction.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in its daily briefing that missile, drone and artillery strikes hit “Ukrainian defense industry enterprise, energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine), assembly and storage facilities of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 157 areas” over the past 24 hours.
The ministry also said that the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down one Su-27 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force, without deliberating.
It added that Russian air defenses intercepted one guided bomb, 13 HIMARS projectiles, and 280 fixed-wing drones during the same period.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 669 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 101,411 drones, 639 air defense systems, 26,467 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,627 multiple rocket launchers, 31,815 artillery pieces, and 48,692 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
