Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Alexander Zakharchenko, is ready to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the border of Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions, Zakharchenko said in the ‘Otkrovennyy Razgovor’ (‘Straight Talk’) TV-program.

The DPR’s head noted that a number of conditions must be fulfilled before the meeting.

“Firstly, Ukrainian military must immediately leave the territory of former Donetsk region, withdraw all units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as withdraw all armed people. Secondly, during the withdrawing, they [the pro-Kiev Forces] must not engage in looting, and Ukrainian authorities must liberate all convicted for political reasons. And then, I will be ready to meet with Petro Poroshenko on the DPR’s border in the area of Kharkov or Dnepropetrovsk regions. I will not meet with Turchynov [Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine], I believe that he is guilty of starting the war,” Zakharchenko said.

At the same time, the DPR’s head noted that resumption of a full-scale fighting in Donbass is a matter of time. According to him, Ukraine has formed a strong group of troops in the direction of Donetsk, and this group can attack from different sides of the republic.

“As of today, those units that are concentrated on the frontline will allow Ukraine to launch several offensives in different parts of the front. Therefore, a question ‘when it will happen?’ is just a matter of time. The situation is critical for Poroshenko, and the only way to avoid certain problems in economy and political life of Ukraine is an outbreak of the conflict,” Zakharchenko pointed out.
