The Ministry of Heath of Palestine announced that 5 civilians were killed and 85 others were injured by the Israeli military during a new wave of protests in the Gaza Strip on October 26. According to Palestinian sources, the protestors were targets with sniper rifles and tear gas.
The new wave of protests was organized by “the national committee for the march of return and the breaking of the siege”, which stressed in a previous statement that the demonstrations will continue and that the Palestinian people will not give up their rights.
Ismail Ruduan, an official in the Hamas Movement, also stressed in an interview with the Lebanese al-Mayadeen TV that the protests will continue in the Gaza Strip until the Israeli blockade is over. Ruduan also condemned Israeli’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
“No compromise on the march of return and there is no new developments on the ground regarding lifting the siege [on Gaza],” Ruduan said.
A day earlier, the Gaza Strip witnessed a dangerous confrontation when the Israeli Air Force carried out 8 airstrikes on positions of the Hamas Movement following a rocket attack on Israeli settlements. The upcoming few hours may witness a similar escalation as a result of the new protests.
Same story, different day…
Interestingly all the people who got hysterical over Khashoggi’s death are rather quiet over this. Looks like their moral indignation has taken the day off for Israel’s benefit.
As a Christian conservative I say that Israel is a criminal state. THOU SHALT NOT STEAL
