Dock Repairs Of Russian Submarine Damaged In Ukrainian Missile Attack Completed - Report

Dock repairs of the Black Sea Fleet’s Project 636.3 Improved Kilo submarine Rostov-on-Don had been completed, a source in the defense industry complex told TASS on July 17.

“Some time ago the submarine successfully left the dock, and its repairs continue afloat,” the Russian news agency quoted the unnamed source as saying.

The Rostov-on-Don was docked at the Sevastopol Shipyard in the Crimean Peninsula for repairs when it was hit along with another Black Sea Fleet vessel, the Ropucha-class landing ship Minsk, by Ukrainian cruise missiles on September 13 of last year.

At the time, the Kiev regime claimed the two vessels were “likely damaged beyond repair”. Nevertheless, the Russian government denied this and stated that both would be repaired and returned to full operational status

Two photos of the Rostov-on-Don were leaked after the missile attack. The photos showed two large breaches in the hull of the submarine, one around the midpoint of the starboard side to the rear of the conning tower and another on the top bow.

The Rostov-on-Don is just one of six Improved Kilo submarines in service with the Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet. These stealthy diesel-electric attack submarines have launched dozens of strikes against targets of the Kiev regime using Kalibr land-attack missiles since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.

Russia’s success in repairing Rostov-on-Don was a blow to the Kiev regime which promoted the attack on the submarine as some major achievement.

zelensky wants german subs. can’t figure out why.

either, it’s to escape to argentina when the time comes or to bring more coke in from colombia.

u-boat for zelefuhrer. ukroboat. turks would gladly build licensed version of german 212/214 project or 209th, old, but deeply modernized, and… send coordinates to the black sea fleet to get new orders. you probably know, turks are building a pair of corvettes for rural reich. they are doomed, so zelefuhrer decided to get some submarines for his future trip to argentina, colombia or new shwabia to mad adolf (it’s myth, but interesting story). if germany pays, why not?
