A screenshot from the video

A cockpit video has appeared online showing a Russian Su-35 during an extremely close pass to another warplane, most likely Su-30, in the skies over Syria.

According to reports, the video was filmed while the warplanes were returning back to Russia from the Khmeimim airbase in Syria.

Yup, hehe, as long one of them dont move from their path, the other one can do this.
I once passed an friend in high speed, thru an S curve, on the other side, since the other one was in front of me, yeah, the other driver almost shitted His pants, hehe, and this, was cool. like the other episode where one of the was almost inside an large carrier plain, and to me that this maneuver was not that dramatic, since the plain was inside, or to be more precise, in front of the other plains slip stream, otherwise it would be a bot more jumpy.

Russian plains are well balanced and appears to be rock steady.

Nanstovje.

Is that amount of smokiness normal?

Gary Sellars

Its not smoke, its a vapour trail due to cold air at high altitude. Its normal. It forms once the jet exhaust cools enough for the water vapour from combustion to condense.

it’s contrails, no air breathing aircraft engine in the world can prevent their formation.

Have you seen this one, President Putin’s escort, when he flew to Syria?

One thing you can say about the Russian pilots, they sure know and understand their planes. Nice one.
