Russian drones and missiles are pounding Ukrainian military and industrial facilities in the rear regions on a daily basis. The border region of Kharkiv is one of the most often targeted areas.
A lot of Russian strikes destroy Ukrainian military facilities in the region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine accumulated manpower and equipment for the recent attacks on the Russian territory.
On the night of April 1, Russian strikes destroyed targets in the central part of the city of Kharkiv. The local authorities confirmed damage, providing no details on the target of the Russian attack in the city.
The targets struck in the city reportedly included the hidden Ukrainian control center in the city. The command of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region was reportedly struck.
Ukrainian sources also showed damage to the building of the local sports college, which was used as a point of deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
More Ukrainian military facilities were struck in the town of Kazachya Lopan located near the Russian border. Another strike destroyed Ukrainian facility in the village of Borovaya in the area of Izyum.
The Russian Defense ministry also confirmed that the point of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries near the city of Kharkiv was destroyed as a result of the Russian strikes on March 31.
The Ukrainian mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, confirmed that almost all strategic infrastructure facilities in the city had been destroyed. After the strikes on March 22, local media wrote that the region’s energy infrastructure had suffered the most severe damage since the beginning of the Russian special operation in Ukraine. In particular, the CHP-5 was put out of service as a result of the Russian strikes and the regional center was de-energized for about five day.
Footage also confirmed heavy damage to the largest thermal power plant in the Kharkiv region Zmievskaya TPP, which was struck on March 22. The Ukrainian company Centrenergo confirmed that the station was almost completely destroyed. All energy blocks were destroyed, and auxiliary equipment was damaged. Zmievskaya TPP was launched in 1960 and supplied electricity not only to Kharkiv, but also to the neighboring Sumy and Poltava regions.
Despite the constant Russian strikes and heavy damage to the industrial infrastructure, the Ukrainian mayor believes that there are no reasons for evacuation of the remaining civilians from Kharkiv.

something like that will take years to replace and even that assumes they have the resources to achieve that. i recall the vile twitter propaganda showing how the brave ukrainians were rebuilding houses like new very quickly. see how that works in year 3 of the war.
