Clashes Erupted at Anadolu University in Turkey. 9 Injured

At least 9 people have been injured in the clashes erupted at Anadolu University in Turkey on April 13.

The clashes between a group of students and security were located near the university campus. Three security guards were hospitalized.

A group of some 20 young people wanted to enter the university premises but had been stopped by private security officers for “failing to provide student IDs”. At the same time, another group of around 30 students rushed to the scene from the university’s grounds.

As result of the incident 3 students were injured and 3 more needed medical assistance from paramedics.

According to the Turkish ETHA news agency, the event at the university was organized by students under the slogan: “We want to breathe.” The students were protesting the pressure on their “progressive movements”.
