Clashes Between Syrian Army And Militants Ongoing In Daraa

Members of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham(HTS) and allied militant groups captured the strategic bloc of Al-Salkhidi east of the Al-Manshiyya district after intense clashes with the Syrian Army yesterday. HTS-led forces reportedly killed 11 Syrian soldiers during the clashes in the Al-Manshiya district during these developments.

At the same day, Hezbollah’s media wing announced that the Syrian Army and its allies repelled the HTS-led attack in Al-Manshiyeh. The media outlet also released a video showing Syrian Army troops pounding militant positions in Al-Manshiyeh with heavy rockets. The Syrian Army used ATGMs to target HTS points in the district. Syrian attack helicopters also targeted HTS fighters in the area.

In another development, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) announced that the villages of Tseil, Mazra’a and Adwan in the western countryside are a closed military zone.

According to many opposition sources, it is expected that the FSA, supported by Jordan and the US-led coalition, will launch a military operation against the Al-Khaled Army in the area soon.

Several Arab media outlets reported that the FSA in Daraa has already received ammunition and equipment from the US-led coalition and Jordan for this goal.

However, it appears that all these ammunition and equipment are currently being used against the Syrian Army in the city of Daraa while the western Daraa countryside is witnessing calm with ISIS.

Looks like the SAA will get some relief when the FSA, Jordan and US land west of Daraa to eliminate that area of Islamist scum. Hopefully they’ll continue along the border to free the crossings and highways so the transportation of goods destined for Syrian held regions won’t be subjected to taxes and tolls demanded by the extremists.

Daniel

You honestly believe the US and Jordan will provide relief for SAA? More likely strengthen the jihadists against SAA.

Mase fah

Absloutly, US and jordan have thier own plan. SAA needs to send reinforcement and take back all area lost and go on offensive

Bill Wilson

That’s right. The SAA needs to get after the rest while the FSA/US/Jordanians are busy in the west and south.

Bill Wilson

Sure! Why not? Jordan would like to see the SAA in control of the border so it’ll be more difficult for the “rebels” and extremists to receive supplies from smugglers. Without those, the various groups in Dara Province won’t be able to hold off the SAA very long so will be forced to surrender or agree to be transported to the killing fields up north. Jordan wants to see all this fighting to end in that region so they can send the refugees back home and see a resumption of normal trade between the countries which will aid Jordan’s struggling economy.
The US very likely was blunt with their new southern FSA and told them that they’d be dropped like a hot potato if they tried attacking SAA forces or expected US support to get rid of Assad. The US advisers probably used the Kurds as an example by pointing out how they set their differences aside while battling the extremists with an agreement to settle things in a statesman-like manner later on then suggested that they do the same. The southern FSA is very small in size so really has no choice in the matter.

Jordan has been helping starting this war and is still providing weapons and manpower to the terrorists…
They hate the SAA and is doing all they can to destroy the Syrian government. All the US and Jordan will be doing is to destabilise Syria.

Please avenge the deaths of the 11 SAA, make them give double, triple of their (HTS) lives
