On September 9, Thailand signed a deal with China to buy a Type 071E landing platform dock (LPD) warship for the Royal Thai Navy. Its construction will take 3 years and cost $130 million. The Type 071E LPD is an export version of the Chinese Navy’s Type 071 warships.
