China is currently one of the leading manufacturers of aerial, land and sea drones. On November 8, international aerospace trade show China Air Show 2022 in Zhuhai will reveal several advance weapons of the global leading military power.
The Chinese Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics, part of the Chinese Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), published a new promo video showing the line of the “Caihong” (Rainbow) series UAVs. The video included footage of the combat use of UAVs of this manufacturer by foreign customers:
UAVs of the Caihong series will be also presented at the exhibition of China Air Show 2022. The exposed UAVs include:
- CH-3D (wingspan — 9 m; working height — 3000m-5000 m; max — 7200 m; flight duration — 20 h; cruising/maximum speed — 180-220/280 km/h; maximum take—off weight – 700 kg; payload weight — 180 kg)
- CH-4 (wingspan — 18 m, max take-off weight — 1.3 tons; payload weight — 350 kg. The drone can carry a payload, including Lan Jian 7 (Blue Arrow 7) laser-guided air-to-surface missiles, TG100 laser/INS/GPS-guided bombs and AR-1/HJ-10 anti-tank missiles.
It is capable of striking from a distance of up to 5000 meters) - CH-5 (wingspan — 21 m; working height — 2000m-5000 m; max— 8000 m; flight duration — 35 h; cruising/maximum speed — 180-220/290 km/h; maximum take—off weight – 3300 kg; payload weight — 480 kg)
- CH-6 (in various versions (reconnaissance/strike): wingspan — 20,5; maximum take—off weight – 7800; payload weight – 300/2000; max speed – 800; cruising speed – 500-700; flight duration – 20/8)
- CH-7 (length — 10 m; wingspan — 26 m; practical ceiling — 15000 m; flight duration — 10 h; cruising speed — 400-600 km/h; take-off weight — 10000 kg)
- CH-10 ( maximum take-off weight – 450 kg; wingspan – 6.7 m; flight time – 7 hours (with a load of 50 kg); cruising speed – 150 km/h; maximum speed – 320 km/h; practical ceiling – 7000 m.)
- CH-T4 (wingspan — 60 m; practical ceiling — 20,000 m; flight duration — 30 days; cruising speed — 120 km/h; maximum take—off weight — 530 kg; payload weight – 30 kg)

The new Chinese Wing Loong 3 reconnaissance and strike UAV manufactured by the Chinese aircraft manufacturing association Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group, will be demonstrated for the first time at the international aviation and space salon Airshow China-2022. Its maximum take-off weight reaches 6,200 kg, with a payload weight of 2,300 kg, flight range – 10,000 km.

Another novelty that will be presented at the Airshow China 2022 is the reconnaissance and strike jet WZ-7 Soaring Dragon UAV developed by the Chinese aviation corporation Guizhou Aircraft Industry Corporation (GAIC) in Zhuhai.
