China has transferred its newly built aircraft carrier into the water. The aircraft carrier was launched in the Dalian shipyard in the province of Liaoning on Wednesday morning.
The ceremony took place amid the growing tensions in the region: the US-North Korea confrontation, the US deployment of THAAD anti-missile system in South Korea and the continued crisis in the South China Sea.
Now, the People’s Liberation Army Navy officially has two aircraft carriers.
I heard that it is Soviet design aircraft-carrier.
Reverse engineered Liaoning (Kuznetsov-class) aircraft carrier….
Meh..not good..it says made in china underneath
I think it’s safe to say China has officially surpassed Russia for the number two spot for most powerful countries.
They did that decades ago based on the strength of the Chinese economy alone. If the Russian economy goes into the crapper, the rest of the world just shrugs it off, if the Chinese economy sneezes, the rest of the world immediately takes notice and becomes nervous. If anything the Chinese are still punching below their economic weight in military matters. They still seem to prefer soft economic power over hard military power. Unlike the US whose main economic power seems to be its massive debt.
When you owe the bank a $200.000 mortgage to your house it doesn’t care much about your well being. You owe the bank a billion for your business, it starts to have an interest in your well being. You owe the bank trillions, you de facto own the bank.
That and the dollar as the world’s main international currency of course.
I was talking about in terms of military strength not counting nukes.
China is also much wiser in its foreign policy than the evil, hypocritical, demented idiots in Washington, DC. and their handlers. It doesn’t waste billions of dollars each month in long, unwinnable wars, drone attacks and playing the world’s bully police moron. China’s number one priority is economic development, both domestically and in its foreign policy.
Russia still has by far a better equipped and advanced military, that is barely news. China still buys tech of Russia that it can’t build itself all the time. It is only their Economy that is stronger.
You better think twice :)
Russian Military infrastructure and weapons building capacity was always totally independent from the Soviet other means of production, that’s what saved the Russian Federation and little else, until Putin shafted Yeltsin’s autonomous 87 Republics and made them governed by appointment from Moscow.
However things started going down hill because the outside industries started to erode the privilege felt by the employees of the Defence Industrial Cooperations and sabotage became a problem.
The second saviour was Western Sanctions, and happiness was restored, but China is now surpassing Russian innovative developments because of Quantum Systems in Satellite and Computer technology, probably doesn’t matter much, any-one of North Korean’s Diesel Submarines, it has 70 fully operational, can easily sink any US Carrier if it’s movements are predictable.
You have some logic deficiency if you believe that there is any chance a north korean submarine would even manage to get close to a US carrier force.
A diesel sub can sit on the bottom for months with bottled oxygen and sonar can’t detect a stationary small object if the target is in near a known location radio contact at the last minute can give the coordinates for launching the missile at point blank range, but you watch what happens, and remember what I posted, I can easily resign as the Messiah but Messiah’s are in short supply don’t forget.
There is zero chance the carrier force would pass even remotely near the sub in the vast ocean. US carrier groups don’t do near the shores but operate at such distances that air refueling is usually needed.
Besides, they have anti-submarine helicopters (latest generation Seahawks) which carry equipment to detect metal bodies underwater.
Thank you for your comments, the last one reminded me of a true historical situation, me and my mate from work planned to hire a rowing boat to go fishing, the old greaser heard about the adventure and communicated his interest, so he came too.
On the way home as we were dropping him off he made a very true statement, he said the same thing you just posted, quote, “It was like hanging your dick out the window of this car hoping to get a bite”.End quote.
I never heard of air refueling a Carrier but the whole point of the Armada is a PR exercise to find the next big military thing to compliment the bipolar horizon Western Ideological agenda is now presented as, Russia supports the Swastika and China supports Globilism, Trump is leading the Globalists charge presenting himself as a Nationalist, so is Macron these two new whatever’s need a new big thing to underpin their strategy, who better to call on for support than the arch traitors and villains the incarnate satan of the Russian Orthodox Church who are right up there in support of the Armada by supporting the loser le-Pen.

They are sunk in excises all the time. And during those everybody is on full alert.
China has a very distinct and idiosyncratic cultural view on issue of intellectual copyright. This occurs from the micro to macro level – whether pirated Hollywood DVD’s for sale in street to Russian SU-27 airframe technology copied without license fees.
Put simply, when Chinese firms get the hard copy they will start to make unlicensed copies.
Example: if you take a flight to Shanghai, when leaving airport terminal can take a magnetic levitation train to city centre in about 15 minutes, traveling at peak of over 300kms an hour. Now, this train is advanced German engineering project that took colossal investments to perfect, and the Shanghai city authorities bought a single licensed version for their city from the German concern. However to construct a major infrastructure project like this, even under direct supervision, the parent firm still has to hand over the majority technological blueprints for accurate construction and to actually run the system.
The western copyright based business model operates on assumption that is is single example as per the contract specs. But, in China, technicians have been busy studying that magnetic levitation train and reverse engineering any specific information that might have not been directly accessible from German parent firm. Result, Chinese municipal authorities are building unlicensed copies from outer-laying airports to urban zones in other cities.
This is not surpassing the parent firm – it is simply an unlicensed copy, perhaps with some engineering tinkering at edges, based on available technology or local requirements. Now, obviously this has its advantages – as skip the trial and error and very high research expenses, however, that is also a liability, as reverse engineering means not encountering the reasons and problem solving logic, that led to certain decisions being chosen to negotiate in-built technical problems.
I am not sure how the Chinese go in the synchronised diving events but copying is the name of that game anyway, I think it is a compliment to mimck someone if you can, but cheating is another thing and the WTO has a mandate to deal with those issues with a massive capacity to enforce their decisions.
I think everyone not Chinese is jealous of China’s economies of scale and their centralised authority to extract revenue from monopolistic corporations and prevent off shore wheeling and dealing that is like a modern opium trade in the USA.
China gets its ability from Gov. investment, and private investors being subjected to law.
However some capabilities are more skill denominated rather than theoretical science originated, that capacity can’t be gained in any other way other than practice with empirical proof as finished product, even micro chips have to come from the hands of the tool maker at the beginning stages, that’s nothing to do with reversed engineering being in some way a short cut.
All reverse engineering is either analytic with regard to composition or measurements conserned with components, that is to be expected if a product is sold on off-shore, but the byer has to have the skill to manufacture and innovate which is the hard part.
I’m not interested in entertainment cultural stuff, I post for scientific reasons.
Expecting a career with a pivotal step in the navy’s program. Many years to come in training a new generation of pilots and crewmen along with her sister ship.
