British Ship Hit By Rocket Near Yemen - Reports

A British cargo ship is believed to have been hit by rocket fire while in the Red Sea, maritime security company Ambrey said on December 3.

“A British Bahamas-flagged bulk carrier was reportedly attacked by rocket fire while crossing the Red Sea, approximately 34.5 kilometers west-northwest of Mocha, Yemen,” Ambrey said in a statement. “The bulk carrier was reportedly hit by a rocket and the crew retreated to the citadel.”

A ship citadel is a designated pre-planned area purpose built into the vessel where, in the event of any attack, all crew will seek protection.

Earlier, British maritime security agency United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said that it had received a report concerning the activity of a drone, “including a potential explosion”, “near Bab el Mandeb coming from the direction of Yemen”.

The UKMTO issued a brief warning to shippers that the incident happened in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait which separates East Africa from the Arabian Peninsula. The wing of the Royal Navy noted that drone activity had also been reported in the area.

The reports led to speculations that an Israeli-owned, British-operated ship was attacked by the Houthis (Ansar Allah) from Yemen.

Adding to these speculations, Houthi spokesman Brigade General Yahya Sari said on X that the group will release “an important statement” in the coming hours.

The Houthis, who control a large part of Yemen and maintain a large arsenal of missiles and drones, are part of the so-called “Axis of Resistance” which is backed by Iran and opposes Israel.

After the breakout of the war in Gaza, the Houthis launched several missile and drone attacks at targets in Israel. It also seized an Israeli-owned ship that was sailing towards the Bab al-Mandab Strait and allegedly attacked another with a drone in the Indian Ocean.

The Houthis halted operations after a temporary ceasefire in Gaza entered into effect on November 24. A week later, they warned Israel that they will renew missile and drone attacks if the ceasefire was not extended. The warning was ignored and the ceasefire ended on December 1.

it would have been a good idea to send some drones and finish this ship if it is still afloat. anyway – bravo to the arabs.

i am really confused why the so called axis of resistance aka iran and friends are the only ones who dare to attack us, uk and israeli targets. it’s not just russia that does not. no other nation ever attacked by the us even tried to hit their ships or bases outside of their territory. they just roled over and waited until the us were done with them. both yugoslavia and iraq should have had supperior options compared to huthis but they did not even try.

Boycott usa the world's bully

what happened to saddam hussein, gaddaffi, their countries and general suleimani is a strong deterrent to attacking usa. the houthis are brave for sure.

Inquisition

they used tomahawk from aircraft carrier for targeting yugoslavia plus f16 from aviano italy, not sure if the serbs was able to shut they ships

as far as i remember the yugoslav fleet was destroyed while inside it’s own ports not even trying to attack the us fleet in the mediteranian. i do not know if iraq even had ships and drones were not a thing back then. i guess it needs a mad man to fight one. the slavs had this approach in ww2 but only the ukrainians seem to still have it. no matter if you are on their side or not the fact that they are fighting while beeing outmachted and do not even think to surrender stands.

the serbs are far from being mentally challenged! shrewd and gutsy, i define them. their strategic objective was to draw natostein into a brutal land war of attrition in the serbian, montenegrin mountains. nato calculated over 10,000 dead of theirs in a short span so, they had no choice but to continue the terrorist aerial bombardment of the country killing civilians. in the meantime, yugoslav weapons and soldiers were all tucked nice and safe in deep mountain bunkers.

very little, if not minimal damage was inflicted on the yugoslav army itself. since then, us troops which can’t fight to save their lives on land, have to resort to proxies and air war. against russia, however, nearly the entire us air force would be destroyed in days in an all-out war. believe me, if they thought they could beat russia in an air war over ukraine, they would have attempted it a long time ago.

Psionists slaves of America

mocha is not under houthi control, perhaps all yemenis are now for fighting against israeli war criminals and its treasonous israel-first vassals and accomplices.
