The British military has deployed attack and battlefield reconnaissance helicopters in Estonia in the framework of NATO efforts to ‘deter adversaries’.

“3 Regiment Army Air Corps is deploying to the Baltics for three months, with Apache attack helicopters of 663 Squadron that took off from their base at Wattisham Flying Station in Suffolk on 15 Apr 19. The Apaches will be working in tandem with the Army’s Wildcat battlefield reconnaissance helicopters to provide valuable training opportunities to NATO allies on Estonia’s annual Exercise Spring Storm and to the UK-led battlegroup deployed on NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence (eFP),” the British military said in a statement.

The helicopter deployment will boost the UK’s presence in the Baltics, known as Operation Cabrit, to around 1,000 personnel, making the UK the largest contributor to eFP. The Wildcat’s surveillance ability combined with the Apache’s sensors and weaponry will be a step change in troops’ capabilities to detect, track and engage targets during the exercises they participate in.”

The 2019 Spring Storm exercise will be held in Estonia’s Virumaa region, involving some 10,000 Estonian and foreign military personnel. This would make the 2019 drill bigger than it was n 2018, when only some 9,000 troops participated.

I suggest the Russian send their Arctic Fleet from Archangel to engage in a reconaissance mission around the shores of the UK. Flood the North Sea, Celtic Sea & Irish Sea with Russian Destroyers & Battleships for a few weeks and let’s see how the Brits like it!! Designed for all Tories to (quite literally) blow their brains out on every BBC ITV & SKY News segment. This also solves the Brexit Problem!!

Russia had their chance to stand up against the global British and French Empire’s in 1914 before those Empires had the chance to infiltrate American media and turn Americans into their personal concubines.
Russia could have built a strong and everlasting relations with central Christian Europe, and they chose to fight for the British Empire.
This will haunt Russia till the end of time.

It’s OK the affluent British taxpayer can afford Theresa May pissing their money up the wall.

Parliament was created to represent English business interests, because the Lords made them pay tax without representation.
Today Parliament still represents business interests, even though they pay very little tax.
The British taxpayer needs representation if he/she is forced to fund the wars of the Lords.

Russia is being surrounded by NATO and needs to build military alliances with anyone willing to work with its confused policies of regarding its enemies as partners. Russian subservience to Turkey in Syria is counterproductive for Russian security in the long run.

Gregory Casey

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I simply fail to understand why Russia has allowed Erdogan so many chances to comply with the deal they struck with Iran last October with the intention of clearing Idlib and West Aleppo. I wonder whether it has anything to do with prising Turkey away from NATO’s tender grasp? Putin already saved Erd0gan’s Ass during the attempted coup in 2016 so ….. I wonder whether the sale of the S-400 system to Turkey and its delivery might have anything to do with this?

Showing the flag is certainly an expensive endeavor. One wonders at the practical experience gained.

Would love to know how feeding your troops food soaked in glyphosate affects performance?

Another question if Clinton had followed DoD statues by using one of their servers would
Seth Rich been able to provide such a large leak to WikiLeaks?

You gotta love the Irony, Trump promises to “Lock her up” and instead delivers the guy who really took her out for persecution. No doubt that both Trump and Hillary work for the same entities.

Gregory Casey

No doubt whatsoever. NeoCons wear both the Blue and the Red.

Biggest mistake Russia made was allowing NATO to enter the Baltic states. Only alternative is to have hundreds of Iskander-M’s pointed at them

Brian Michael Bo Pedersen

Agree that having NATO in the baltics aint good for Russia.
But i wouldn say Russia “allowed” it, the baltic states are sovereign states, and can decide wether or not they want to be part of NATO or allow NATO forces inside their borders.

And threatening the NATO units already stationed there, and the baltic states themselves, is in no way the way to go, that just gives the baltics another excuse for having NATO there and for NATO to beat the wardrums.

Even if an AK in storage in Siberia, is having the barrel pointing west, NATO will say thats an agressive move, so imagine the fire it would create if Russia pointed nuclear capable cruisemissiles at them?

Ainis

I think Russia will not miss the opportunity to show its strength. The major ‘Union Shield-2019’ drills are coming. It should be said that Russia and Belarus are constantly train their troops, prepare for this military exercise.
