Britain Moves Closer to Sending Long-Range Missiles to Ukraine

The UK is expected to send air-launched Storm Shadow missiles along with troops to help with targeting

Originally published on AntiWar

Britain appears to be moving closer to sending Ukraine longer-range missiles that the Biden administration has so far refused to provide.

Last week, the British Defense Ministry posted a procurement notice with the International Fund for Ukraine, a UK-led group of northern European countries that coordinates sending arms to Kyiv. The notice asked for an “expression of interest” in providing Ukraine with strike capabilities of up to 300 kilometers (186 miles).

A British official told The Washington Post that no final decision has been made and wouldn’t specify the type of munition London was considering sending. The range matches the UK’s Storm Shadow missiles, which previous reports have said Britain could provide Ukraine.

Storm Shadow missiles are air-launched and can be fired by Ukriane’s Soviet-made fighter jets. According to the Post, one of the Pentagon documents leaked to Discord showed that US intelligence confirmed that Britain plans to eventually send Storm Shadows to Ukraine, along with personnel to help with targeting data.

The Discord leak on Britain’s plans, which has not been previously reported, signals that the UK could significantly increase its role in the war by sending Storm Shadows if that means also sending troops to help with targeting. According to another leak, the British have 50 special operations soldiers on the ground in Ukraine, significantly more than any other NATO member.

The US has held off providing Ukraine with the Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), munitions that can be fired from the HIMARS rocket systems and have a range of up to 190 miles, similar to the Storm Shadows. Ukrainian officials insist they wouldn’t use the missiles to target Russian territory, but other Discord leaks indicate they would.

Tito tore Yugoslavia into the abyss with the debts he incurred…….. He simply incurred a lot of debts during his lifetime, probably with the aim of having a good life during his lifetime. He probably didn’t care what happened to the country after his death. Because this high debt has paralyzed the country.

opet ja

Don’t bull shhhiiit. Former Yugoslavia had 23 billion $ whole debt. Now former Yugoslav states own 150 billion $ together or even more.
On the topic, how the fuuuck Soviet made aircraft can target and fire Storm Shadow???!!!

sks

well, they tweaked Mig-29s to fire American HARMs… they previously claim that was impossible without integration with NATO-type weapon control, targeting, even power supply and mounting systems.

Tito was an imposter not the original Josip Broz captured in WW1 somewhere in Russia. Josip Broz lost fingers as a machinist, Tito had all fingers. Tito spoke Viennese German whilst dying from septicemia/gangrene, most likely his childhood language. His Jewish right hand man mosche Pijade or mr janko was his German Serbian translator/instructor. Tito signed away Kosovo. Basically Tito was a foreign Jewish Bolshevik agent supported by the British. Today it’s the same in Ukraine.

When it comes to crossing oceans to meddle, I consider that imperialism. But stopping a genocide of your people in an adjoining country is just normal and healthy.

Big difference.

AI8UT

HUGE difference nobody wants to even consider.

What would happen if a big warning Kinzhal hit the UK in a strategic position?
Would it be a warning shot, DONT MESS WITH US? Or would it be an escalation?
Who exactly is waging war on whom and who is escalating?

It appears we are begging for it. Doubt the masses would even notice, unless it took out their Reality TV Show. Sunak has not even bothered discussing it in Parliament. Funny, the Russian speaking citizens of Ukraine use self determination to go back home to Russia. NATO used the same argument to invade Kosovo. The UK use it time and time again, same with the US. Yet, they have given a hefty chunk of tax payers money to Ukraine, together with we have to defend the nation.

One of the biggest losers of Ukrainian war has been Russian over hyped hypersonic (=hyberbolic) missiles. Not even near as magic weapons as Russians have masturbated.

Are they at a place where they will look like psychopaths when Ukraine is lost but believe that more weapons will make them less pathetic under a mushroom cloud.

I am English and live in England. Must admit, I do wonder if the mushroom cloud will hit the UK before Ukraine is lost. First strike, when Russia is feeling seriously threatened by another nuclear nation. Not superpower, as we only have 225 nuclear warheads and Russia has around 6,000, but, we are still a nuclear nation, being aggressive.

Yes they have to take out Russia’s air defence’s in a first strike.. And then a nuclear false flag for the second NATO strike..

We cannot even defend ourselves against the Dinghy Tourists, so how will our missiles make it to Ukraine, without being taken out by Russia, on route?

Automatic rule of the people. In which the people have nothing more to do except to listen to the orders. There can be no civilization with politicians. The crap here is something else.

It is now clear that the British are an extremely dangerous loose cannon within the participants involved in this conflict.
The big question now is, how are the British military leadership going to respond, when their political leaders give them instructions to prepare their nuclear arsenal for deployment.
Will they follow such orders or will they hesitate?

Go back over a century, to 1913, when the Tavistock Institute of Human Behaviour was being formed and the Fed Reserve was launched. Same crowd running things then. Playing us for WWI and creating the Bolsheviks, who overthrew the Russian Empire. Same crowd still at it, as Westminster takes their orders from the City of London, not the electorate.

Alz

Agree, a replay. Zelensky is that Bolshevik.

ORCHARD1

My question, AM, was not about the electorate, but about the senior levels of the British military.
I think we can agree on who the “same crowd” are, the industrialists, financiers, monarchists and eugenicists who bankrolled Hitler to power.
Now their idiot offspring are trying the same thing.
Who will stop them?

UkHomoSap

One prays that the few sensible seniors of British armed forces tell the bellicose Rishi Sunak Cons. and so called Labour Starmer and Lib Dems et al. to wise up and stop putting the public in the firing line

AM Hants

No discussion in Parliament, which means it is being done without the permission of the people of the UK. Why is Ukraine so important to Westminster or should I say the City of London?

UkHomoSap

Totally agree.

BoBo

It’s likely that any of these missiles sent to Kiev would first arrive in Poland from an RAF base in the UK so it would not be difficult to cut off that supply line if required

Then Russia should give to shia Lebanese groups P-800 missile to wipe off Brits bases in Cyprus..

Very good decision to protect and secure Ukrainian people. Russians have to face grim future as pariah state led by war criminal Putin who can put his “Red line” to his own arse hole. Nobody in west trust on Russian talks and RF military is piece of horse shit.

Russia should release a network of terrorists (re-train the Irish nationalist) in the UK. This will make the British paedo government think twice about meddling in the affairs of other nations.

How about sending long range missiles, anti ship and anti air missiles to argentina if they feel like falkland 2.0. And when the brits transfer their fleet they can have an accident and never get there.
