On the evening of September 26, Russian forces repelled another missile attack on the Crimean peninsula. So far, at least two Storm Shadow cruise missiles launched from the Su-24M bombers reportedly targeted the city of Sevastopol in the west. The towns of Dzhankoy in the north and Gvardeiskoe in the center were also targeted by the Ukrainian military.
According to preliminary reports, one of the missiles was destroyed near the Belbek airfield near Sevastopol by the Russian 31st Division of the Air Defense Force. Another cruise missile was shot down near the Cossack Bay on the outskirts of the city.
Two more targets were intercepted over the town of Dzhankoi and the village of Gvardeiskoe located on the outskirts of Simferopol. The origin of the missiles is yet to be clarified by the local sources.
More Ukrainian strikes may be launched on the Crimean peninsula in the coming hours.
Situation in Sevastopol:
Glory to Air Defense Forces!
Meanwhile, Russian forces are intercepting Ukrainian UAVs over the Russian territory. On the evening of September 25, at least 7 UAVs have been shot down over the Belgorod region and 4 drones intercepted over the Kursk region so far.
some people go insane; i can’t explain it; i’ve seen it before, talk myself blue in the face trying to get through some sort of, whatever it is; then it happens; suddenly they’re conscious again, but now it’s too late; and who’s too blame? the party that tried tirelessly to wake them up as to what was really going on the entire time. so, here is ukraine now; the walking dead, and only suicide will bring it relief; anything we do now would just be murder.
useless videos. not even worth clicking on.
extra deployment of pantsir and buk batteries supplemented with anti-stealth radars like nebo-svu/p-18-prima are needed in sevastapol, simferopol. need better early warning radar placement to detect the very low flying storm shadow. nebo-u vhf radar in the right location can detect them from 100km, leaving enough time for flankers to scramble quickly to intercept them shoot them down with r-73 or r-77’s
could of would of should of blah blah if that was case it would be done already but clearly storm shadow is too advanced for even the newest russian radars and s400. it was built in early 2000s. imagine what jassm-er/xr would do or the new taurus. russia seriously needs to tweak and fine tune their radars and air defense if they want to fare well in a major war against nato in future
seems s400 battery stationed in sevastapol not using the best 40n6 missile with active radar seeker. instead using old s300 soviet era 48n6 missile that relies on command tv guidance. not good against stealth targets. black sea air defense ommander should quickly replace their s400 launchers with the new 40n6 missiles if they want to get better results against storm shadow.
black sea fleet needs major overhaul on their command/admirals. corrupt, negligent incompetent admiral allowed moskva to sail off coast of ukraine with malfunctioning radars and failing weapon system controls. could have been on surface being repaired or scrapped today instead of sunk by subsonic neptune.none radars worked on moskva during sinking. embarrassing
how do you know all of that though? were you an officer serving on the ship?
okay expert
