UPDATE: The meeting between the governor of the Belgorod region and Kiev’s militants did not happen. Members of the so-called Russian Volunteer Corps did not come to the Shebekino border checkpoint to hand over the prisoners. The governor promised to assure their security in the area. Previously, the saboteurs asked the official to come to a local church alone on an ambulance vehicle.
When the meeting was scheduled, Ukrainian saboteurs launched attack on the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka.
Ukrainian fighters released another video showing 13 Russian POWs, three of them are seen wounded. The POWs will be reportedly handed over to the Ukrainian authorities for their further exchange.

On the evening of June 4, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that a group of Ukrainian militants which was heading towards Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region had been dispersed. The units which are securing the state border of the Western Military District and the border service of the FSB of the Russian Federation prevented an attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of Ukrainian terrorists to cross the river near the settlement of Novaya Tavolzhanka. As a result of the artillery strikes, the enemy was scattered.
The attack on the Russian village was scheduled right at the moment when Kiev’s militants allegedly supposed to hand over the POWs. The coordinated media campaign, which included numerous fake videos spread by Ukrainian sources, resulted in another large media victory of the Kiev regime. It was timely scheduled to the moment when Ukrainian forces launched offensive operations in the Zaporozhie region and several other directions in the Donbass.
Despite some hype in the media, Ukrainian forces failed to achieve any victories on the battlefields, so far.
In the afternoon of June 4, pro-Kiev militants again crossed Russian border and attacked Russian village of Novaya Tavolzhanka. According to preliminary reports, a group of about 20 saboteurs without armored vehicles entered the village. This is the second attack attempt during the day.

UPDATE: the authenticity of the videos were not confirmed. They were likely filmed in advance by Ukrainian forces and voiced over with fake claims of civilians. In fact, the videos do not the response of Russian forces.

Earlier, members of the Russian Volunteer Corps invited the governor of the Belgorod region to meet on the territory of the temple in Novaya Tavolzhanka to hand over two Russian POWs.
The Russian governor agreed to hold talks with the militants on the border checkpoint. He confirmed that several Russian servicemen were captured during the previous battles:
“The only thing that stops me from negotiating with them is our boys, who are in their hands. Most likely, they killed them, no matter how hard it is for me to say it. But if they are alive, then from at 5 – 6 pm, multi-vehicle checkpoint “Shebekino”. I guarantee safety.”
Any other information about the ongoing negotiations is yet to provided.
