Last night, protesters waved banners with General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Qods Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units in the front of the US Embassy in Baghdad. Both of them were killed in a US strike on the city on January 3.
