Azerbaijan has test-fired a guided bomb jointly developed with Turkey during the Anatolian Eagle-2021 exercise in central Turkey.

Two Su-25 and two Mig-29 warplanes of the Azerbaijani Air Force as well as units from Qatar, Pakistan and the NATO are taking part in the military exercise which began at the Turkish military’s 2nd Main Jet Base Command near Konya city on June 21. The exercise will end on July 2.

On June 29, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan shared footage from the exercise showing a Su-25 fighter jet test-firing the QFAB-250 LG guided bomb.

The QFAB-250 LG was jointly developed by the Research Institute of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry and Turkey’s defense giant ASELSAN. The bomb, which weights 270 kilograms, is guided by semi-active laser. It has a circular error probable of less than 10 meters and a range of 12 kilometers.

During the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, Azerbaijani Su-25s carried out several pinpoint strikes on Armenian positions. The QFAB-250 LG was likely used back then.

Azerbaijan’s Su-25s were also equipped with the Belarusian-made Talisman airborne defense suit (ADS) during the Anatolian Eagle-2021 exercise. The ADS was designed to provide protection against air-to-air as well as surface-to-air missiles.

Baku has been working hard to develop the capabilities of its air force for several years now. During the last battle in Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijani warplanes and drones managed to inflict heavy losses on Armenian forces.

Good on Azerbaijan

Armen

Good to know that NATO is helping the Azeri Turks test bombs that will be used to finish the Armenian genocide! Thank you NATO for keeping genocidal Turks a valued member of your morally corrupt alliance …maybe NATO can help militarily in the genocide and help the Turks commit these crimes against the Armenians with greater swiftness. Send in the NATO death squads to slaughter all Armenian women, men and children!!!! Also thanks to the west for helping traitor Pashinyan get elected …

Persian boy

The Jews are forcing you to improve your relations with Israel, in fact, this is the pressure of the Jews on Armenia, long live independent Armenia.

Chess Master

If Armenia had Iran as protector instead of Russia, they were in Baku by now.

Good luck with being ‘protected’ by Arkady Rotenberg and the other ‘Russian’ elites with accounts in Cayman.
