Azerbaijan Reported Casualties In Armenian Shelling On Civilian Settlements (Videos)

On October 15, Azerbaijan accused Armenian forces of shelling civilian settlements away from the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Armenian shelling targeted the settlements of Aghdam, Aghjabadi, Goranboy and Tartar.

Hikmet Hajiyev, a top aide for Azerbaijani President, said the shelling had struck a cemetery in Tartar where civilians were present. As a result, three civilians were killed and at least five others were injured.

A day earlier, Azerbaijani forces shelled the towns of Martakert, Martuni and Hadrut in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. At least one civilian was killed.

Azerbaijani attacks on NAgorno-Karabakh have claimed the lives of 32 Armenian civilians, since September 27. More than 100 others were injured.

Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on a “humanitarian ceasefire” in Nagorno-Karabakh, on the 10th of October, after the talks in the Russian capital, Moscow. Nevertheless, the situation is the region is still far from being calm.
